I decided to bite the bullet and look it up. Seems Trumpkins/alt-righters misled a reporter or something about its prominence and Hillary's team repeated the article and so it blew up and is now a cultural staple?

The only group I've watched consistently normalizing the far-right is liberals and to be more specific a certain subset of liberals. When you keep calling everyone that disagrees with you an alt-righter or a neonazi people who were accused of that or know others that were accused of that will eventually think "hey maybe these people aren't as bad if Paul, the peaceful stoner next door who thinks Pepe is fun is an alt-right supporter and probably a neonazi".

I'm oversimplifying it of course but subconciously this happens. Especially when these geniuses accuse large groups of people not affiliated with the far-right, just people who either support Trump because they're desperate and angry or agree with parts of his narrative or, you know, disagree with SJW dogmas.

There are 1,389 days until the 2020 Presidential Election and Attorney Geoffrey Fieger is wasting no time.  His new ad sends the message he wants to be the next President of the United States of America.

The ad starts out like many Fieger Law ads.

"For year’s now you have heard me say, if you don’t stand for something, you end up standing for nothing,” Fieger says in the beginning of the ad.   

It then goes in a direction where none of his ads have gone before. It attacks President-Elect Donald Trump, saying Trump tapped into hate to get elected.

It ends with Fieger saying he has a different vision for the nation’s future. It reads, “2020: A Clear Vision for America.”

“I am 100% more qualified than Mr. Trump,” said Fieger in a one-on-one interview about the ad with 7 Action News.

Attorney Fieger says he believes Trump’s plans to build a wall, comments on race, and controversial cabinet choices put our constitution at risk.

“Attorneys are the foot soldiers of the constitution,” said Fieger.

He wants to be the Commander in Chief for our country, the President of the United States.

“Listen,” said Fieger when asked if this was a publicity stunt. “I ran for governor. It wasn’t a publicity stunt.”

This isn't the first and won't be the last time they're spreading completely fabricated news and they're not shooting themselves in the foot. Like fake news the target is to spread the propaganda as fast as possible which they're doing well, even if they're proven wrong later the damage has already been done.

Nah, the mea culpa in this case would just cover half of the tantrum, the one that goes to the dangerous territory of authoritarian. The actual mea culpa should be to the public that should expect better from the Press and the Government.
