Is a STEM school a euphemism for a charter school or is it yet another Taylorist nightmare visited upon da youf by the dorks in Silicon Valley, Seattle, et cetera.
A STEM school is a school focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It's just an ancryom that schools latch on to in order to say 'we'll produce Engineers and Doctors', etc.
It doesn't have to be a charter, or local public school run by the district. Some schools claim to be STEAM as well Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Arts.
