**LEAKED Ad concept**
*reel of Bernie Sanders shouting and shaking his fist*
Narrator: "Communist Bernie Sanders says he believes a woman cannot be President"
Voter (mid 20's/f): "I'm afraid that Bernie Sanders will take away all our women's rights as well as my healthcare and jesus"
Narrator: "President Trump believes anyone can be a President regardless of background, gender or weight especially if they are a woman"
*reel of Ivanka/Laura Trump/Nikki Haley/Conway/Sarah Sanders/Grisham/Melanie footage*
The President: "When I see a woman I just see beautiful, I don't even wait, I'm like that's who I'm backing"
Ivanka Trump: "My father always supported me"
Narrator: "In Donald's Trump America everyone can be a President even when they're not elected"
The President: "I'm Donald Trump and I approve this message"

Quote
These 8 words spell big trouble for Bernie Sanders

"I thought a woman could win; he disagreed."

 :omg

Quote

Which, wow. Those eight words are very problematic for Sanders -- particularly since they seem to run counter to his long-stated support of women running for all sorts of offices.

 :wag

Quote

Here's the problem with all of those explanations: Warren said it did happen. It's right there in her statement; "I thought a woman could win; he disagreed."

:punch

Quote

The issue there is actually two issues:
1) Sanders is saying that Warren didn't hear what she said she heard
2) At the time of this meeting it was very clear that both Sanders and Warren were very likely to run for president. So, it's pretty hard to talk in purely hypothetical terms when that's the backdrop of the meeting.

:duh

Quote

The question in my mind is whether Warren pushes Sanders for answers in tonight's CNN debate in Iowa. If Warren directly confronts Sanders on his campaign's contention that what she remembers about that conversation is not actually what happened, what will he say? And if he stands by the one-big-misunderstanding argument, will Warren let that be the last word? Or will she push for more?

Given Bernie's age this is pretty much his last shot at being President.

If the DNC colludes with the MSM to nuke him, would he run as an independent in the general instead?
Knowing that he'd probably be more popular than the Joe/Warren  :teehee ticket.

Is it possible to make for profit news illegal?

If the founding fathers didn't envision modern guns surely they didn't envision 24 hour news cycles that are for profit and done for clicks, "stories", controlling narratives, enciting propaganda.

"Sanders, how will you pay for Medicare For All?"
"4% after $12,000. The average family pays ~$1,200"
"Biden, do you think Sanders owes the American people a pricetag for his healthcare plan?"

What. The. Fuck.

Just did the math and that is about $3000 less per year than I currently pay for insurance + deductible. Household income is Over $150k/year, so that’s assuming it’s 4% on every penny over $12K, and doesn’t take into account normal tax deductions.

If we assume that is $12,000 per person in the household, it’s an even bigger savings.

I think this misidentifies the central character of the argument. It's about maximizing the utility of policy per dollar spent (and thus dollar taxed) - the morality is secondary. This is the brutal logic underpinning all neoliberalism.

Rich people paying for everyone's college includes everyone, which includes their own kids. Just as everyone gets to drive on the roads.
Doubling down on somehow rich kids getting free college out of this is a dishonest tool intended solely to poison the entire idea rather than any argument with good intent.
