Biden wants me to go to jail for weed brehs.  :(

I really fucking don't want Biden. Bernie or Warren would be ideal, but christ, Biden is just going to be holding down the fort for whatever the next version of Trump is to take over. Dems actually get someone in office and the message is "let's go back to simpler times"? Fuck

Biden is going to be a less eloquent, less cool Obama and he’s going to be shocked that his policies aren’t more popular.

Obama got a ton of mileage out of being “cool”, even though his policies and governing were often kind of bad.
Mass drone strikes, mass deportation, the grand bargain, and trying to pretend Republicans are actually awesome is not going to go over as well when the guy doing it can barely speak.

If the Biden Trump debates don't embolden every geopolitical "enemy" nothing ever will and we can safely wind up 75+% of the armed forces.

Nyt isn't good enough to start a fire with

It's going to be Joe. If you look at the polling in big states, it's a done deal unless we get a sudden surge from someone else. The race will be effectively over after Super Tuesday, though Bernard will likely pull the same shit and run a zombie campaign until June.

I don't even have a dog in this fight except Not Bernie, but that's what's going to happen.

You fucking imbecile bernie is going to win 3 of the 4 first states and you will be devastated

And Biden will likely have more aggregate delegates at that point, because he'll "lose" IA, NH and NV by a couple percentage points while winning SC by double digits.

Hell, Biden may actually win Iowa, as he's currently leading there, though I could see Bernie stans making the caucuses so unpleasant that Bald Man overperforms.

Lol. The caucuses are after bedtime for Biden supporters.

I've only voted for a President twice in the past 30 years, so it's the norm for me. (Bush 92 and Obama 2012)

i don't personally see a need to protest vote for trump cause that goes pretty opposite any bernie support i have but i'll either just not fill out the president bit or write bernie in.

nevada had a nice (but pointless) gesture of having "none of the above" on the ballot which would fit nicely.

My one concern with Sanders is that this is the guy who ran a campaign so incompetent that he lost to the candidate who lost to the worst candidate in history. How do you fuck things up that badly? He'd need to do substantially better in the general.

That's always been a bad concern.  Considering he had a tiny pool to pull from in 2016 for campaign talent, it's rather impressive the margin he lost by was so small.  Let's not forget when he announced his running:

https://www.c-span.org/video/?325700-1/senator-bernie-sanders-i-vt-news-conference

He ran out to the garden to announce between floor votes.

He couldn't eve get a podium, hell he walked through the photographers in the back to leave. :lol

quick refresher

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/weekly-standard/fact-check-did-the-dnc-illegally-steal-the-2016-primary-from-bernie-sanders
Quote
This portion of the DNC charter—article five, section four—states:

In the conduct and management of the affairs and procedures of the Democratic National Committee, particularly as they apply to the preparation and conduct of the Presidential nomination process, the Chairperson shall exercise impartiality and evenhandedness as between the Presidential candidates and campaigns.
“These governing documents,” the complaint argues, “expressly obligate the DNC to maintain a neutral posture with respect to candidates seeking the party’s nomination for President during the nominating process.”

According to Newsweek, in response to the lawsuit the DNC contended that “the organization's neutrality among Democratic campaigns during the primaries was merely a 'political promise,' and therefore it had no legal obligations to remain impartial throughout the process.”

And the court seems to have agreed with the DNC: The lawsuit was dismissed in late August.

Quote
Individuals who had maxed out their $2,700 contribution limit to the campaign could write an additional check for $353,400 to the Hillary Victory Fund—that figure represented $10,000 to each of the 32 states’ parties who were part of the Victory Fund agreement—$320,000—and $33,400 to the DNC. The money would be deposited in the states first, and transferred to the DNC shortly after that. Money in the battleground states usually stayed in that state, but all the other states funneled that money directly to the DNC, which quickly transferred the money to Brooklyn.

“Wait,” I said. “That victory fund was supposed to be for whoever was the nominee, and the state party races. You’re telling me that Hillary has been controlling it since before she got the nomination?”

I hate it as much as you do, but being an adult means holding your nose and casting votes that are an averaging of your misery instead of an expression of enthusiastic support.

If the reluctant social fascists are going to hold a litany of vulnerable minorities hostage with their purity politics then we have an obligation to ensure that their eldritch powers cannot bring folly on them, to be above the influence. 😔

For all the clout they have in The Discourse, you would think that a disgruntled minority like left-progressives would make multiparty democracy a big priority (so they don't have to resort to childish threats to stay home), but that camp seems to be really silent on this.
