Everyone knows that Sanders would have won, but apparently it's impolite to mention it these days...  :doge

The problem is what we ended up with was Trump vs Clinton and if you identify as a liberal it was clear who the lesser of two evils was. That's the reality of our political system and until it changes protest votes are naive at best and selfish at worst.

It never ceases to amaze me that people think Sanders winning was unrealistic when we are now living in a universe where Donald fucking Trump won. But apparently President Sanders is too unrealistic. Fuck outta here!

The only person who won the vote was Hillary....everybody stop this foolishness now.

Hillary lost because she ran a shit campaign that ignored the anti establishment and she is unlikeable, Sanders had a much better chance against Trump, too bad the DNC sabotaged him, hopefully this is a wakeup call to what kind of candidate they will support next

I hope the wake up call is more about the procedure then the outcome.

If any lesson should be gleamed I think that is it....Though it's a lesson that could of been learned decades ago TBH.

Democrats need to work on establishing a better nomination process, the candidate part will work itself from there IMO.

Whether you think the primary was rigged or not, the fact that such a discussion is so present, kinda says the system needs some help. To work both more optimally and to regain legitimacy in voter's eyes. It is hard to try and brand yourself as the party of equity and fairness when your nomination process appears so inequitable for so many voters.

That's the fun thing about blame- there's plenty to go around, and I never get tired of assigning it. Plus, I know people IRL that voted Stein or wrote in Bernie to "prove a point" and making their lives miserable is now a hobby of mine.

How noble. Don't worry, In the next election  they may not even bother in voting.

Agree with the general sentiment, but two caveats:

The nomination process hasn't sparked that kind of sentiment in the past, and the things that became targets (closed primaries) compared to the things that didn't (caucuses) make me think it's much, much less about general access and inclusivity than it is about the particular candidates this last time.

Second, should probably be pretty careful that any efforts to mollify the currently aggrieved faction doesn't alienate other groups in the party. Especially since Clinton's coalition includes the people who have traditionally been first under the bus in American politics.

Saying that Trump won because any ONE thing is fatuous.

Did Clinton, in hindsight, run a shitty campaign? Well, duh. She ended up losing the electoral college (and the popular vote outside of California, #kermitdrinkingtea and all, but it's true). Did she not campaign in states that she took for granted and shouldn't have? You betcha.

Did Russia fuck with the election and did Comey upend the table a week and a half out? Yes and fuck yes. There are a multitude of reasons why we're where we are; anyone who tries to tell you it's just one thing is a fucking moron, or etoilet. But I repeat myself.

Wisconsin and Pennsylvania both had more "other/write-in" votes who were not for Johnson, Stein, Castle or McMullin than the margin between Trump and Hillary. New Hampshire and Minnesota were the same but were won by Hillary. The Legal Marijuana Now Party plus write-ins was greater than Hillary's margin in Minnesota.

Michigan doesn't count write-ins.

Bernie came in third in Vermont with 5.7% of the vote on write-ins, which has to be some kind of record for President. (ballot candidates: Clinton 55.7%, Trump 29.8%, Johnson 3.1%, Stein 2.1%)

All it kinda says is that a bunch of fucking infants make up a large part of the liberal coalition. God help us.
And the rest of the country is made up of republicans and people too lazy to vote.

Maybe this nation just isn't worth a shit?

A nomination process where the frontrunner can muscle out all major opponents before voting begins by monopolizing donor money and endorsements seems pretty shitty.

the .5% of ppl writing in for bernie or the rock or whatever definitely didn't decide or even remotely affect the election ya goons

Trump won Michigan by 10k votes. There were nearly 8k write-in votes. Not enough to swing things but I'd say voter apathy definitely gave Trump this state.

Nah he's gonna die of boneitis first.

Here's some interesting trivia I just read - if you bought milk and bread on the day the mooch was hired, it's still fresh.

Mooch on the other hand is probably pretty sour.

I already miss Anthony Scaramucci. Of course, he hasn't officially been fired yet (checks Twitter), or committed suicide by jumping into boiling steak fat at his Gotti-esque Hunt and Fish Club restaurant in Manhattan (checks Twitter again). But it sure seems like he's not long for this earth. Even by Trumpian standards

Kelly, I guess ?
Hopefully he can expedite the firing of Bannon, Miller and all the other trolls too. Well... except the mucho grande one. It would still be a terrible White House but a less harmful one.

The Mooch got used to get rid of Priebus it seems, nothing more... crazy shit.

Trump is a madman.

AND Spicey.

Spicey quit because Trump hired Mooch, who burned Priebus, and then Priebus's replacement fired Mooch.

But man, can you imagine this White House trying to cope with an actual crisis?

North Korea seems to be rapidly heading in that direction, hopefully the tiny group of adults in the Trump administration can keep him from doing something crazy and irreversible.
