Who cares if it's Qatari funded, Al-Jazeera English is as reputable if not more so than pretty much most other news outlet including trash like BBC. If you are going to cry about this shit then I hope you are at least going to be consistent next time you link to news outlet they better not have shilled for a government. Even if you had a point about Al-Jazeera, Mehdi Hassan is legit anyway.

Al Jazeera's reporting is way more dangerous and harmful than Russia Today's amateur hour fringe fiction.
They're not reputable. They're a mouthpiece of the Muslim Brotherhood and their Qatari masters.

That's Al-Jazeera Arabic, Al-Jazeera international took the same pro-rebel stance as all the other western media outlet. RT is more comparable to VOA where it's a tool of the state to promote their foreign policy agenda, whereas Qatar is too insignificant for Al-Jazeera to bother doing propaganda for outside of their Arabic channels.

They spend billions on a shit channel no one watches that is not commercially viable because it doesn't have a foreign policy goal?

Wat? At least RT makes money.

Pretty sure all those shit channels are pretty popular with the Arabs. Even with MBS and co. banning them. I really doubt they spend billions on Al-Jazeera English though. Also didn't realise the primary purpose of a news outlet was to make profit for the investors. How much is BBC World News making?

I never said that. I said the Qatari government supported the Iraq war and that is true.
The US basically used their country as an airfield for the operation.

Feeling like Nintex confused Qatar and Kuwait. Tthe only source I can find on Qatar's position pre-invasion was they opposed it because it would destabilize the region but would consider allowing the US military to use their territory if it did happen, which was probably a foregone conclusion considering we already had an air force base there and how much they depend on remaining in our good graces.

IIRC "opposed to the war but getting on board when they realized Bush was going through with it" was the position of several countries in the region, including Israel (who were more worried about counterbalancing Iran).
