Li Yang, the Donald Trump donor who founded the spa where New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was busted, allegedly sold more than sex. According to an exposé in Mother Jones, the 45-year-old entrepreneur also ran an investment firm that peddled access to Trump and his family to wealthy Chinese executives. According to Mother Jones, “The firm notes that its services also address clients looking to make high-level connections in the United States. On a page displaying a photo of Mar-a-Lago, Yang’s company says its ‘activities for clients’ have included providing them ‘the opportunity to interact with the president, the [American] Minister of Commerce and other political figures.’ The company boasts it has ‘arranged taking photos with the President’ and suggests it can set up a ‘White House and Capitol Hill Dinner’.” The Mother Jones piece follows a report published Friday by the Miami Herald exposing Yang’s long-running relationship with Trump that featured social media photos of her mugging with Trump, his sons and high-profile Republicans, including Kellyanne Conway and Sarah Palin. The Herald also said Yang carries around a rhinestone MAGA purse and donated $42,000 to political action committee Trump Victory and $16,000 to Trump’s 2016 president’s campaign.

If this story turns out that Trump recommended Kraft the massage parlor because he got a kickback from the massage parlor owner, it'll be so on brand.

People on Twitter getting fucking livid with each other over differences in how they parse the candidates' records, meanwhile the average Iowa voters is like "Bernie and Biden are my first two choices, hard to decide between them."

Elizabeth Warren is deliberately sabotaging her campaign because she doesn't want to actually run but felt she had to for various reasons.

Of the declared candidates she's in third place after being passed by Copmala but I'm not sure how great it is for her to be in single digits considering her should be prominence? Without looking to confirm it seems like she was polling better in 2016 as a hypothetical, like 15% or so.

Though in general I'm fairly baffled by the lack of "just picking one" going on in the polls among the non-Biden/Sanders half of the field.

It's fascinating to watch the Trump movement turn on Trump as his White House seems wholly incapable of doing anything at the moment.
Especially the meeting with the CEO's promoting legal migration shocked the base to a point that they think Kushner is now calling the shots.
And they all hate Kushner.

We'll have to wait and see who Trump brings in for communications now that Bill Shine has resigned or if that will be another job that goes to Kushner.  :doge

Honestly, the polling has been a bit of a surprise to me.

I really thought Kamala would be polling at least in the 20% range. She seems to be a natural fit for the Clinton wine mom crowd that has convinced themselves that being black (or Hillary Clinton) is the only true sign of being a Democrat.

If Biden enters the race it looks like it will just be a Bernie/Biden horse race. Biden might be the best possible opponent for Bernie. The idea of him as Obama’s goofy grandpa sidekick kinda works, but as a 2019 Democratic candidate he kind of sucks.

To me it seems like some candidates are only running to gun for the VP seat of Biden or Sanders.
Both will be in their 70's by the time of the election so being their running mate practically makes you backup President.

I also think that Yang's message of: "Everyone will get $1000 a month" will resonate with voters once he can say it on the debate stage.

Quote
Between 2006 and 2011, Tucker Carlson spent approximately an hour a week calling in to Bubba the Love Sponge
a strong start
Quote
Carlson said underage marriage is not “the same thing exactly as pulling a child from a bus stop and sexually assaulting that child. ... The rapist in this case has made a lifelong commitment to live and take care of the person so it is a little different.”
ok
Quote
Carlson: "I spanked Michael Moore like a bad little girl."
kind of a weird thing to say
Quote
After Bubba the Love Sponge described underage girls at Carlson's daughter’s boarding school experimenting sexually with each other, Carlson said, “If it weren't my daughter I would love that scenario.”

See Tucker Carlson with an extended defense of a cult dude who presided over a bunch of child marriages. "He didn't do it himself, what's accomplice to rape mean anyways? So it's a 16 year old marrying a 20-something" etc. etc.

Check Wikipedia on the cult dude. Turns out the guy was accused of sexually abusing multiple children in his own family, the girls being forced into marriage were as young as 12, etc.
