Sen. Amy Klobuchar said said that one way to get people to use less energy is to send out electric bills with a neighborhood ranking because it comes with a sense of competitive accomplishment. "What really worked to get people to get their energy usages down and turning off the lights off — not necessarily the total, when they saw what their neighbor did, they're real competitive. Now, they don't see the names of the neighbor, but they see the averages are and they think, 'Well, I can do better than this,'" she said.

Everyone who works on her campaign is going to end up with PTSD. Also apparently Biden's eyeball popped out during the climate town hall.

Presidential candidate Marianne Williamson (D) revealed that she did not think the left was “so mean” and “lied like this” until she ran for president as an outsider candidate.“I know this sounds naive. I didn’t think the left was so mean. I didn’t think the left lied like this,” Williamson told the New Yorker’s David Remnick in an interview. “I thought the right did that. I thought we were better.”Williamson accused the left of lying about her use of crystals and “crystal gazing,” telling Remnick that there has “never been a crystal on stage” at any of her events and “there is no crystal” in her home. She accused those on the left of also falsely accusing her of having told AIDS patients not to take their medicines or implying that “lovelessness” causes diseases and “love” is “enough to cure their diseases.”“I’m Jewish, I go to the doctor,” Williamson said, ripping those on the left for labeling her as an anti-science candidate who does not believe in modern medicine.
“The worst aspects of human character have been harnessed for political purposes,” she tells David Remnick. Williamson sees herself as a kind of spiritual counter to Trump, reshaping our moral trajectory. And she does have policies, which include repealing the 2017 tax cut and an ambitious plan for slavery reparations, and also tapping some surprising people for her Cabinet.

Trump's latest Alabama tweets are nonsensical. The news coverage has been clear: When Trump said the risk to Alabama "just came up" on Sunday, he was wrong. His own @NWS said he was wrong. He's still trotting out old models to say he was right.— Brian Stelter (@brianstelter) September 5, 2019

The longer he and the WH keep at this the less time the news media spends on gun control, immigration or the trade war with China.
Quote from: Nintex on September 05, 2019, 05:03:47 PMThe longer he and the WH keep at this the less time the news media spends on gun control, immigration or the trade war with China. You said he was winning the trade war. Why would he want it out of the news?
So it's an issue that matters, and that he's winning, but it's important to hide from people.
Not like it matters because we've seen how his psyche works anyway, but this is a crystal clear look into his mind set and why he's so embarrassing/dangerous/stupid/childish/not fit to be a leader of anything. Here are the options:1. The president absolutely under no circumstances can admit to being wrong, even on something so easily excusable like "the forecast changed", and goes so far as to actually draw on maps to "prove" that he was right. 2. The president hadn't kept up on a gigantic storm about to make landfall for 5 or 6 days and was sticking with info he saw days ago and never bothered to look at updated projections or listen to them at all. If he's willing to use outdated, incorrect information and lying/altering the info just to prove he's right about something like this, what the fuck is he going to do about bombing someplace over wrong information?A side note, it's actually a crime to make false weather forecasts. Technically, Trump could be fined and imprisoned for up to 90 days for this
