If Glen was being less of a dick here we could talk about some of his point which is, how successful is the strategy of attacking the Democratic party for it's function as the left wing of capital in government but also relying on its voter base and some of its political infrastructure to achieve your electoral goals. There's an obvious contradiction in strategy and rhetoric that can't easily be reconciled. I don't think Sanders is capable of building a big tent while maintaining his stances but that's not to say it won't ever be bridged somehow. Just didn't happen this time
I mean, yeah, Sanders has shown he is incapable of convincing a certain type of democrat that things needed to change even under Obama. There’s a firewall in the party that doesn’t want to hurt the poor banks, medical lobbyists, insurance, whoever the fuck or is just uncomfortable with any sort of actual change. They’d rather vote for Joe Biden, who, I mean, c’mon. So what course of action do people who want something have to change the party? If it won’t change, then what?
Maybe just start calling ourselves some catchy thing America first name and let the republicans who are just in the party to dunk on the dims dunk on them with all the shit they said couldn’t be done? I think Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson could sell em on it
