There's something to the hidden vote that these people keep talking about. Trump retweets those clips all the time like the one below. Here's CNN for example, interviewing a nurse in North Carolina who starts to praise Trump's COVID policies.
She fits the profile of a Hillary/Biden Democrat voter a young educated woman who should be appalled by Trump's actions and deeds according to the media. But she defends his corona virus response on CNN, leaving the interviewer with little to say.
https://twitter.com/Rachael1418/status/1301921300965974016The Democrats are making the same mistake that the pro-EU factions did in the UK when they thought the Brexit campaign was 12 months and not 30+ years.
Trump is still campaigning against the failures of every administration post Reagan. While the Democrats are campaigning against the past 4 years of Trump.
Trump's biggest weaknesses are COVID-19 and the social unrest. Two things many people don't solely blame him for.
What surprises me the most is how poorly some of the Democrat states are run. If Jeff Bezos, Mike Bloomberg and all don't want another 4 years of Trump, they should've bailed out California and New York and shored up the home turf.
They could've made Trump's way of governing look bad compared to 'really well run' Democrat states. But that didn't really happen, in most cases the opposite did and they all spend 4 years chasing a Russian ghost and trying to curb stomp the left wing of their party. And that last point also leaves a voter base that is apathetic and doesn't really know what side to pick in this fight or their candidate is no longer in the race, so they're less likely to vote.
