Just got back. I decided to take a Lyft to and from my polling place, just to get different vibes. No line, super fast in and out. As I was voting I did overhear a (black) woman at the front saying she did not have her ID. The front door poll guy mentioned that she'd have to sign an affidavit first, and then explained the process (basically for those unaware: you swear you are who you say you are, and if you're caught lying it's potentially 5 years in prison and/or a $1000 fine). I could tell the poll worker was hoping that his speech would convince her not to vote, but she decided to sign the affidavit and vote.

Later as I was continuing to fill out my ballot I overheard him talking to a woman poll worker about how she needed to check out Bill Dunham and how he's so hilarious. Yea...breh was definitely MAGA. Not that I mind, having people from both parties there is good. Still...

Rode home in the Lyft with an Arab dude who was listening to Persian r&b music. He told me the entire day has felt slow, and he hopes Americans do the right thing and "vote the bum out."

R areas: long lines stretching blocks
D areas: "Not many people voting today but they mailed so we good"

Aside from the fact you are lying about the premise of your post in regards to where the polls were (both were very close, Ohio actually closer, not "safe" for anyone):

Neither state has collected enough votes yet for anyone to make any real predictions as to the results.

I dunno man, Biden had significant margins in the polls.

It is because a swing from a +3 Biden to a +3 Trump finish is a whooping 6 points.

Apply that to all the other polls and states and then look at the RCP averages again.

At this time. Trump already up 200k in Michigan.

Trump nearly closed the gap in North Carolina. NYT has it at a likely Trump win now.

Biden is looking good in Ohio and PA still.
