I was a semiactive neogaf poster for 3 or 4 years. I consider myself a liberal, feminist and pro LGBT. Since gamergate I feared to express my opinion on Neogaf. There was no middle-ground. Questioning "commercial Victims" (you know the type, who have Patreon sites being a professional victim of harassment of white males) got you banned. So even if you wanted to discuss the militarization of Feminism and the wrong road it is going, you couldn't because you were automatically a rapist racist.
It got even more militant last year. Suddenly everything that didn't fit into the narrative was harassment. Asking a Dev why we should kickstart his new game when he didn't finish his last, suddenly was a "harassment campaign" and the users gamergators. On the other hand, there was a thread this week trying to get an Obsidian dev fired because he didn't know a shitty meme is considered offensive for trans people and this is suddenly not harassment.
And I can't even fathom, that, according to Opiate, the mods are primarily PC first when PC threads are invaded and shit on, or PC focused youtubers get shit on and nothing happens to the users. But try to do this shit in a sony or nintendo thread and you get permed.
