MFW I woke up and looked at Monaco (MCO) this morning.

Okay, it's not that bad but it's barely moving from where I bought at.  :doge

Should start to pick up in the coming days but for now I'm a bagholder.

edit:

It even looks primed for a break out right now.

edit: or it's just going to keep tumbling down because BTC is going ham at $16000 :goty2

Here's my ignorant pleb theory. All these new kids on coinbase trying to become billionaires in 18 hours finally are having a taste of the volatility. They see their 10k taking a hard shock when btc went from 17k to 14k in less than a day, they start freaking out. Now because they are greedy little bitches(mostly americans tbh) instead of converting to fiat they dont want to let go of their quick millionaire dreams so they buy the cheapest coin available as an alt, which is litecoin. Blam, now give me my nobel prize in economics.

Might be able to afford a whole bitcoin again if MCO decides to have a bullrun tonight.

I can't say one way or another about bitcoin.

But what I will say is that I'm not holding any bitcoin currently for the long term and don't plan to any time soon.

Shit is way to volatile for my tastes.

If I do any long term holding it's going to be in LTC and/or ETH.

My friend is saying that if the futures thing goes through it's going to kill bitcoins volatility (and growth) since the futures guarantee its price a year from now (or however futures work, I don't know)

I bought 1k of ether when it was around 430, going to hold for a while and see what happens. Hoping Litcoin dips a bit so I can buy and hold. I'm still kicking myself for selling all my Litcoins when I bought them in May and it didn's show any movement for a couple of months. I should have held..

It could kill volatility and growth or it could not.

Bitcoin has a way with fucking with people's expectations (trust me I know...). Some days it seems like it has a mind of its own when it's being threatened by some outside force.  :doge

Also, the big wig finacial guys seem to be on this big FUD campaign with bitcoin. If they are as crafty as I think they are, they're trying to scare everyone from buying it so when the price plummets and they can buy up more of it when it is cheap have more control over it.

You're definitely right about that. All the "experts" spent the whole year downplaying BC and predicting it's inevitable downfall any day now.  :lol Jim Cramer just wrote an article about how it's Monopoly money. Last time I checked I couldn't multiply my USD with Monopoly money.  :doge

I think whatever happens tomorrow and the coming days will be a good predictor for what's coming on the 18th.

I'm regretting I didn't sell when it hit above 18k, I was waiting for a psychological landmark of 20k.

When I buy a thousand dollars worth of options contract for a $10 billion dollar company, the institutional investors (which hold a significant chunk of the stock) will instantly drop the stock price by 0.1% for a few minutes to scare me into selling back for a loss.

That's what happens with big, mainstream stock market shit. I can only imagine how hilarious BTC futures trading will turn out. Ultimately, y'all should expect the price to be manipulated and develop a strategy to eat the crumbs the big institutions leave behind.

There's a fuck load of new crypto peeps that are buying up BTC right now and their hands are weak as shit. They will freak the fuck out and sell when a 3% to 6% dip happens.

I've gone through some hellish dips but always came out on top when I just held and waited.

Not many people are willing to do that.

I can only imagine how many of them will panic sell when BTC drops from 5 digits to 4 digits.

I follow Cryptoverter's lead in his trade-signal channel. I try to ignore most people in the main-chat because they're all emotional and freaking out.

I think he has some ins with some whale groups and he's being nice to us little guys by keeping us privy to their activities and research.

edit: if I hit my profit goal of $20K I'm strongly considering buying a lifelong sponsorship for his premium signal group so I get in earlier on certain trades.

It does if the sell orders outweigh the buy orders.

But more often than not there are people who buy up those dips and aren't phased by big red dildo candles.  :doge
