I guess I’m just going to have to make Willie happy by giving him the hottest cocksucking ever behind a Taco Bell dumpster after I see him live in December.

He'd rather get high and watch Marvel movies I bet.  If you need suggestions on how to make him happy.

When the options are Taco Bell dumpster with TVC or Marvel movies, age is not a factor.

3 good things:
- Rohrabacher lost
- as much as I hate NoVa for ruining every city in VA north of Ashland, it has made the state pretty reliably blue.
- Dean Heller lost after being such a mess of shifting priorities and allegiances

3 bad things:
- Nunes won? Wtf? Worst district in the us confirmed.
- Steve king, too? Though perhaps not surprising
- the entire state of FL.
- #4: I thought Kyrsten Sinema had it.

New Mexico seems to have gone as expected. Everyone hates Steve Pearce so of course he lost gov to Michelle Lujan Grisham, a republican won the seat where all the industry is gas and oil, Heinrich and dems won basically everything else. Unfortunately the Democrat sheriff won again, but everything else is okay by me.

Also NM finally is going to have a state ethics board to keep an eye on our dopey politicians

Locally, was pretty bummed that Zeldin (my district) won and the anthropomorphic cigar Peter King won (neighboring district). Cuomo and Gillibrand weren't much of a surprise. The guy who helped me close on my house was running as district court judge (as a Democrat), but lost.

The Senate is so rigged that Democrats may never control it ever again
It would be nice to live in a democratic republic.

It’s the day after Election Day, and Democrats just handed Republicans the GOP’s collective asses. Though the sheer magnitude of the Republican loss remains uncertain — ballots are still being counted, and blue California may take weeks to complete its count — early projections suggest that Democratic House candidates may have won the national popular vote by 7 points.

That’s a bigger margin of victory than the Republican wave in 2010 (6.8 points) or the GOP wave in 2014 (5.7 points).

And yet, it wasn’t enough. Republicans will hold the Senate and, with it, the power to fill the federal courts with Republican stalwarts.

A Landslide Victory for Democrats Is Tempered by America’s Broken Electoral System
The numbers are still coming in as I write this just after the witching hour of Election Night, but Democrats seem poised for one of the biggest midterm landslide victories in modern history.

...

In a sane electoral system, such a resoundingly clear result would mean sweeping new powers for the winning party.

...

But the victory for Democrats feels underwhelming. That’s partly due to stinging defeats in high-profile races in Florida, Georgia, and Ohio that Democrats had hoped to win, as well as tough Senate losses in states like Missouri and Indiana that Democrats knew were uphill battles but had still hoped to eke out.

But it’s mostly due to the fact that the American electoral system is functionally broken in a way that gives Republicans enormous unearned advantages.

...

And then, of course, there’s the Senate. Our own Martin Longman and many others have already covered this in depth, but the U.S. Senate no longer has any reason to exist

How to explain to someone living abroad that Democrats can have over 10 million more Senate votes and still lose
As Europeans woke up to the results of the 2018 midterm elections on Wednesday, their primary question — what next for a president who is so deeply unpopular here? — remained largely unanswered.

But European news networks still dedicated hours-long specials to the key vote. And while viewers here tried to make sense of the results, they repeatedly stumbled over two numbers: the total votes for Democratic and Republican Senate candidates. More than 45 million Americans voted for Democratic Senate candidates vs. about 33 million for Republican contenders, according to figures updated around 11 a.m. Eastern time Wednesday.

As the animated TV graphics clearly showed, though, it was Republicans who ended the night in control of the Senate — not the Democrats. “An extraordinary electoral system,” tweeted an incredulous state secretary in the German state of Hesse.

So how could Democrats outpace Republicans by more than 10 million votes and still fall further behind in the Senate?

Why Democrats didn't take the Senate despite winning 11 million more votes than Republicans
Although Republicans retained control of the Senate during this year's midterm elections, Democrats actually earned about 11 million more votes.

Reported vote counts show that Democratic Senate candidates this year thus far have won roughly 44 million votes, whereas Republican Senate candidates have earned 33 million, per The Washington Post. That means about 57 percent of the total votes cast went for Senate Democrats. Despite those stats, Republicans managed to flip three seats, bolstering their majority.

Apologies if I'm repeating a PD post.

Dems couldn't take the Michigan legislature because there were too many incumbents. Gerrymanders aside, there's usually a main party in each district and they typically only lose when it's an open seat. They reduced the majorities, but the R's had built them up too much.

D's also won all the state-level offices which is not unusual, the Governor winner usually takes the others, but the Secretary of State went D for the first time since the Jurassic Period.

Basically every kind of proposal won in Michigan. The state ones: Regulating and taxing pot, establishing a redistricting commission that's evenly balanced between the parties, and adding a bunch of stupid shit about voting to the Constitution that sounds good but should be laws especially since some of them are borderline inherently contradictory.

Apologies again for not actually answering this post, but go to the NYTimes page: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/11/06/us/elections/results-governor-elections.html

Click on a state or "State Results" menu over on the right, and scroll down, most of them have at minimum the state offices, the state legislatures and any major statewide proposals. Ballotpedia is then your source for learning the specifics of the latter.

Ex:

Dennis Hof bested Democratic opponent Lesia Romanov with 62 percent of the vote.

Hof campaign manager Chuck Muth, who was watching the results at the Bunny Ranch bar in Mound House, said the win is bittersweet, as he wished Hof could be around to celebrate with him.

“I have never been in a campaign like this with the stuff they threw at Dennis — it was everything and the kitchen sink,” Muth said. “Unsubstantiated accusations of sexual assault came out … then all the Republicans that came out that weren’t going to support him. It was a brutal campaign, and we wish he was here to enjoy it, but we’re going to do shots and try to enjoy it for him.”

Hof was found dead Oct. 16 at his Love Ranch South brothel just outside of Pahrump two days after celebrating his 72nd birthday. But, by law, his name remained on the ballot.

Dems should know better than to pin hopes on Florida by now. Florida really should have been on the “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, you can’t get fooled again” list for Dems.

Republican-ish dude I know lost every single race on his ballot including the proposals, except for County District Commissioner which the years old incumbent guy won by like 184 votes. The D's also swept that commission aside from the same seat for the first time in eons.

First time since 2006 this would have happened to him, but he wasn't old enough to vote then.

So it was a good learning experience.

Live within an hour of a farm, brehs.

I live in the middle of blood-red, rural Oklahoma, my dude. There's nothing around but cow pastures and farm land.

Then move. Because if you all keep pushing they are going to quit growing, that movement is coming. Sat it on one of those meetings. Scary isn't it?

But I'm sure fucktard A above can Google how to grown beans and make it happen....

Just saying guys. The other side has been hearing what you say. And their response will be measured. Be careful.

Not ringing a bell here btw, just saying, takes two to tango, stop calling everybody a gun toting hillbilly.

You are talking out of your ass.

Difference between them and you is

A) They matter

And

B) They aren't working for tips. Actually they are, being paid not to grow food Seems like a tip of some sort.

And everybody know where I live.

My point is simple. Respect each other. Stop this insulting bullshit. It won't end well for you.
YMMV

Everything I voted for failed. Republicans took everything again this year.

Same.

Live within an hour of a farm, brehs.

Of consequence...keep shitting on the people that feed you, and love guns, seems like a valid plan.

Y'all gonna assault them with satoric wit and disdain? Hows that gonna go?

Spoilers: You all will starve.

Use your minds.

What the hell are you trying to say?

Exactly what I said. You can't win. Just move to Canada and suck their resources dry, fucktard.

Now I know youre lying or you don't know how it works or won't say you've heard. How's the snow up there?

Ive invested more money in foodstuff then you'll make in your life. Not insulting, just saying...know who youre talking too before you obfuscate.
YMMV

"Respect each other, stop all the insulting"
"You and your job don't matter"

Yep, AIA is back. Everyone that disagrees is a liar or a moron, but please don't be mean.
