As someone who loved the original roseanne, and looked up to the simple pleasures of buying meat off the back of truck because they couldn't make ends meet, but because they were white they could still have a roundtable friday night dinner with giggles and family. I gotta say I'm not surprised the new show is a hit, I am surprised they bothered with making new episodes instead of re airing all the old shows cause all that shit is still true.

Most 'default' food options are also loaded to the brim with salt and sugar. Whenever possible I get the low salt version, and guess what? It tastes the same and costs the same usually.

Calories in salt: ZERO. I mean, it may increase appetite by making food taste better, thus indirectly making people fat. Moreover, too little salt, especially for people who don't already have hypertension, can be unhealthy.

Little side note, I was having breakfast once day at a diner, and this beautiful woman across the U diner table kept looking over at me. I was like whateves. She started hamming up conversation with everyone and kept asking me to chime in. So I finally relented, and gave her some lines and she was enthralled. She moved over next to me and we chatted for like twenty minutes about all kinds of shit (she's artistic). We shared pictures or past pets, stories about people we've lost. Like soulmate type conversations you don't really have with random people. She said he had some art pieces near by and she'd like to show me. I'm thinking "dope, I like art" and also "i might get my dick wet". So we pay for the food and then stand up from the diner stools (these things are really really tall), and then she gives me the once over and sorta laughs and the look on her face when she realized I was shorter than her basically made me hate artists.

A month later someone painted over one of her art installations. I'm not saying I had anything to do with it, but that's just something that happened.

Pack it in BMI. (Technically, he's overweight according to BMI.)

I really don't understand.  If you're committed to living as a fat person, then isn't everything wrong with being fat inconsequential to you at that point?   What does it matter what other people think about BMI if you don't care about BMI?  What does it matter what people consider nominally obese if its the same body in the end?

I think one of the reasons ERA is increasingly hostile is because it's the last of a dying breed.  Video game forums are a dead end.  "Game journalism" is a dead end.  Video games, as an industry, is healthy and growing.
