This recent turnaround about comedy from Ree is just so funny. Remember when they shat on Evilore for daring to attend a David Chapelle showing? Or all those threads they made about some comedienne making a rape joke and someone in the audience getting angry about that? Roseanne's Twitter had a precedent of tweeting really suspect things and then she got taken down after backlash from a very racist tweet.

The ArenaNet girl had a history that began with the TB thing and later insinuated a streamer who gave feedback was a misogynist and had called him an asshat, despite him being a nice guy who actually really respected her.

imo, I don't think Gunn deserved the firing while the other two did. Maybe less so on ArenaNet's end, but I can see why someone who's interacting with the community on an MMO would get fired for being so hostile.

James Gunn made a tasteless joke, apologized for it years later, and then got fired after his Tweets got dug up by people with ulterior motives. Whether or not this was just the straw that broke the camel's back idunno

Even on here you'll see people flip flop a bit on whether Gunn deserved to be fired. While Era-types like Zatt Murdock are obviously more inclined to defend Gunn because he makes their favorite Children's movie and is verbally anti-Trump, I think there's actually a discussion to be had on Right Twitter now trying going after individuals and their livelihood. But yeah, there's definitely a decent chunk of Era types who would decry these types of jokes as unforgivable had it been literally anyone else, but it's the director of everyone's favorite Disney's Marvel's Children's Movie.

Personally, I couldn't give too much of a shit to be a part of that discussion.
