This stuff, for better or worse, is most of the time cyclical. People are going to forget or grow tired of hating someone because him being a typical Hollywood creep (he is not Weinstein or Spacey in the scale of vileness, that I agree). In some years a lot of the mainstream audience will not care. But that is kind of beside the point.
