Also, the original FLCL also had lewd stuff and involved themes that would make REE uncomfortable if they didn’t give it a pass because they watched in AS when they were kids or teenagers.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a very wholesome series. There's one joke where a character talks about having a weakness for big-bosomed women, but I think that's about it for material that's even remotely questionable.
