Jason is openly attacking the REEE's and the REEEE's are openly dogpiling him
This has to be against the TOS. Yet no mods have surfaced.
Do you work Bore members who still have Era accounts.
Jason is peddling off-site drama on twitter.

I have no idea what is going on, but that post Jason tweeted makes absolutely no sense. He seems to be equating a particular style of gameplay with a game engine. So Fallout and Skyrim both have a particular style of gameplay that is similar and that is at least partly because both games are produced by the same studio. He seems to think that is what constitutes a game engine.
It does make me wonder what this person thinks is the reason for why graphics, animation, A.I., etc are getting more realistic each generation. He must grasp that hardware is getting more powerful each generation. However, why doesn't he connect the dots that more complex techniques, like for instance, a more complex lighting model or more realistic animation, needs to be incorporated into something known as a, you know, game engine. lol
I think he’s just saying that if your tools are largely the same over time then that will impose a look and feel to the game just by the developers working within the limits of the tools.
Like Obsidian made new Vegas, but it’s immediately apparent it’s based on the Creation Engine toolset. The physics, interface, animation, and the way the A.I. works make it really obvious.
Similarly, you can play The new Fist of the North Star game and tell that it’s developed on the Yakuza 0 engine and not the Dragon Engine basically immediately, despite having a different art style, combat system, and not really reusing animations. The way the characters move, the frame rate, the interfaces, the way encounters are handled, and the way you interact with shops make it really obvious which Yakuza game “lineage” serves as the baseline.
It probably encompasses more than just the engine, but if someone other than Bethesda makes a game using the exact same tools that they used to make fallout 4, it will be recognizable as having Bethesda DNA, even if the property is different, and the writing is different, and they make all new environments, make new models, and change the variables for the physics settings. There will be pieces that you just can’t 100% get away from without modifying the tools.
