The thing that got me warned was a non-serious joke about paying some other 16 year old to beat the kid up.  The rest of my posts in that thread are me defending the kid from being assaulted and talking about my own experience as a minority faced with hateful words and never retaliating physically because that's what I see as the right thing to do.

What happened to you was starting to happen to me. Where I’d walk into a thread and try to be a voice of reason but just get shouted out by the same few posters ganging up on me. Just stopped posting altogether and it’s been a good decision so far.

What I find most funny about the Arena Net thread is that they don’t want to say agree with “detractors” on an issue. It’s like they’re forgetting the whole reason RE exists. People had been claiming that Evilore was shady for years and no one wanted to believe it because of who the sources were.

It’s like they’re forgetting the whole reason RE exists.

The whole reason ResetERA exists is because they're a bunch of morons who didn't understand the reason GAF, which they already essentially ran, was "successful/relevant" was out of inertia. Once they did a publicized exodus where they trashed GAF both literally and figuratively to start a splinter forum they already halted that inertia by dividing the userbase. The "brains" of the operation knew Evilore wouldn't give up his money ticket but assumed THEY were the reason for that money ticket (like Shinobi "who stepped back from the forum in March", etc.) and that simply moving a few key usernames over to a new forum would make it as relevant as GAF was. It was always obvious it was simply a temper tantrum fueled shattering of the userbase. These same people shut up about Evilore, Amir0x, etc. how many times before, they decided to not wait for his excuse to accept for whatever reason and assumed ERA would be up instantly, instead you had GAF sitting without mods for like four days as the userbase either trashed the place, sat in discords or found other forums and then ERA launched as a dorky in-GAF clone to the point of actually doing GAF Gold before it existed an entire year.
