What is funny is that to get the utopia the people in the Women thread want you could create a forum that has less than 500 users and 25 mods. Or, to make Era a good place you could just ban those listed and about 8 other people so threads about "Best chicken tenders," don't become political fights. 


And have you noticed Era doesn't have any voices or personality?  The only known posters are those that shit up each thread.  On GAF you would have people who would post and people would say, "Oh shit, here is this guy!  He's gonna comment on this issue."  On Era the personality comes from the mods and the bigger the stick up their ass is the more that mod dominates the forum. 

On Era the only "personality" is Slayven and his comic books.   Think of that.  The funny guy at Era is slayven.  And he could be replaced with a bot that finds an image to go with key phrases in a thread title.

Biggest way to improve the country isn’t via the president. It’s through local elections, senators, etc. So see what YOU can do to get involved at the local level. Make sure your family and friends are ALL voting in the midterm elections. Even when Obama was president his second term, he couldn’t do as much because Congress would block him. Remember that whole Supreme Court bullshit? Get involved at the local level and you can change things.

i dunno, its not a big deal, yes you miss out on the dialogue and soundtracks but did you know you can listen to them on youtube if you want? its great. i played Last of Us and only heard the ps3 engine, but it was fun to go to youtube after the credits and check out some of the tracks, to be honest it felt like experiencing the game twice, but paying only once! i wonder if Sony themselves meant it to be this way.. in any case i can't wait to do the same with God of War (GOTG) on my ps4 PRO model! and i just finished Detroit.. did it have a good soundtrack or any good voice acting..? worth checking out on youtube? thinking of skipping the audio portion of the game and jumping straight to GoW... decisions decisions

not every game has to be the exact same in terms or functionality. people like different things and its ok.

i like no pause because it makes things more urgent and i gotta think on my feet. boss fights for example, for me it would take out a big chunk of the excitement if i was able to just stop the action and go to a menu.

i don't know how the neighbor countries aren't terrified, because once once israel's project of complete annexation of palestinian lands is over they would very likely still not be satisfied and want to expand their state, and they'll do that by starting some war based on a made up fake excuse and take some more lands and annex them to their illegitimate state.

This is how the game is played. If it was over the territory they currently control, it's just part of that game. If it wasn't, that's a huge problem. We don't have enough information to know which one it is yet cause it's early. There's no reason to believe Syria or Israel at face value, both are problematic!

honestly i think eating meat should be HEAVILY discouraged by governments, meat advertisements should be banned etc (like with tobacco). masses should be aggressively nudged to move away from eating such vast amounts of meat. it's bad for our health, and basically everything around us..

This thread is filled with strange skepticism boasting.

I’m a largely skeptical individual, but I also enjoy interesting stories and mysteries, and the OP’s stories, as well as others shared on this thread are definitely interesting events that (regardless of cause) are happening to real people, that I’d rather read and enjoy without scrolling through arrogance and self-importance.

People sharing these stories don’t need a series of condescending preachings and sermons about the almighty power of not believing, they just want to talk about what’s happening to them and we can help by suggesting investigative measures. You are definitely ruining it for the rest of us, who might not necessarily believe in ghosts, but like to be open and interested in things we find unlikely.

Once and if we get to the bottom of this and help the OP find the cause of this commotion, then you can all sleep at night knowing the world is still as boring as we all tought.

I find this forum too unforgiving when it comes to handling the logically unexplained. I would actually group religion in this category. I've recently become started to go to church again - and would like to engage in some discussion on this forum. But after seeing how I notice some posters here ridicule people who have some sort of religion, I'm quite hesitant.

That’s a subjective opinion against an objective fact, the latter of which you embrace, the former of which you acknowledge. Just because you acknowledge the objective doesn’t absolve you the responsibility of embracing the subjective.

The fact that something viewed impossible may be possible doesn’t preclude anyone from thinking it’s impossible (until being provided reason to think it may be possible), even if that is acknowledged by that person.

Do I believe it possible? Certainly. But my experience was consistent with circumstances that align with what is said about ghosts, not gremlins, wizards, the Sith, Jedis, vampires, or anything else, so they are obviously going to be placed and spoken of under that category. Is it I really necessary to state that I must, sans any evidence, consider all options an equal possibility?

Sure we can pull everything in life into the kitchen sink in speaking of the unproven....and so what? It does nothing except tell people what they already know.

Example, a mod started a thread asking the question "would you date a transgender person".  Go look at how many were banned for saying "no".

I was one of them.  I was banned under the made up charge of transphobia.  I screenshot the post that got me banned, and in that post was nothing transphobic.  I screenshot many other posts that got others banned that contained no transphobia, yet they were banned for transphobia.

So if people can't even answer a question to a post made by a moderator of their answer goes against the far left mentality of this site, is that good moderation?  Is people giving opinions that aren't hateful or derailing but might not match the opinion of you worth a ban?  Because that happens often.  Way too often.  My wife has checked this forum out a few times to see if she wanted to sign up but the fact that her opinion would be mobbed and reported because she is a moderate she has stayed away.  That's what she told me anyway.

The "arguing in bad faith" is overused here.  If someone has an opinion that goes against the majority, maybe that is just their opinion and that is OK as long as they aren't hating on anyone.  I'm a conservative.  Do you know how many posts I have to read that say things like "fuck them to death", or "all Republicans are Nazis"?  If I post "All Democrats are Nazis" I would be banned faster than you could snap your fingers.  How is that fair?  It's not and it causes a toxic environment and goes against what progressiveness stands for which is inclusiveness.  Inclusiveness includes people that might disagree with you, and everyone that disagrees with you are not wrong because they feel the way they do.

There's nothing ban-worthy here whatsoever.  That thread has had a lot of posts on moderation so it's not like he was going off-topic and just randomly whining about it.  RE is a shithole (and not in a good way like this place.  ).  Things will never improve as long as the current moderation team is allowed to be the thought police over there.  New forum, new staff...same old awful neogaf garbage.

Transperson dating is not an example of far left ideology. The idea is that you should acknowledge that a trans man is a man and a trans woman is a woman. That's basic human decency.

Why are you still here though? Because you want access to the forum content. That access comes with moderation that goes against bigoted stances. So, your options are to keep bigoted stances to yourself or be banned. Not seeing a problem with that. There are many other forums on the internet that will not ban you for bigoted stances. I was one of them.  I was banned under the made up charge of transphobia.  I screenshot the post that got me banned, and in that post was nothing transphobic.  I screenshot many other posts that got others banned that contained no transphobia, yet they were banned for transphobia.

So if people can't even answer a question to a post made by a moderator of their answer goes against the far left mentality of this site, is that good moderation?
