First, let's be clear: these no avatar, low post count accounts are alts plain and simple. It is not a wave of new members who all collectively forgot to make avatars and have no real interest in talking about videogames.

As for why...I don't understand trolling period so I have no idea. I assume it pleases them somehow to get their alt banned. I just wish they would use their real accounts and stand by their statements.

They were most likely pointed to the thread by whatever other hole they congregate in, and then when they get banned they go back to the hole to high five each other.

If they're doing it with an alt it's pretty simple. They're cowards too afraid to stand by their true feelings because they don't want to face any of the repercussions of their immaturity and narrow world view.

I dunno, but it's pretty clear that it happens. My understanding has been that it's because this place is infamous as the "SJW hive" among certain kinds (alt-righters and their ilk), and so coming in here are catching a quick ban justifies it and gives you a story to tell.

Spreading transphobia without being banned on their main account, probably. People are very attached to their hatred, and a lot of gamers especially bought the "gamers are only for manly men" marketing hook, line, and sinker and are invested in keeping the medium "free" from icky women, icky non-white people and even ickier LGBT people. I mean the NERVE us LGBT folk have, playing videogames and not liking marketing that joins in widespread attempts to demonize and mock us!
