https://www.resetera.com/posts/11761271/I honestly believe if this thread was about almost any other group we'd be seeing a lot more bans. Of course if it was about any other group people would take a second to critically think about these numbers.
This is coming from one of the people who spent his time trying to completely downplay the findings. The funny thing is, if it was white people we were speaking about, the bans would be aimed at people like him.
It seems they have all latched on to the fact that the figures are for convictions. They then take it for granted that the disparity is
of course because of institutional racism, because why could it possibly be for any other reason? Something, something, social science, read up on it.
Here's the thing though, they conveniently ignore the rest of the quoted article on this:
The survey applies only to convicted offenders. They constitute a very small proportion of all reported to rape, and an even smaller proportion of all sexual offenses such as the Crime Prevention Council, Brå, get information in their questionnaires.
• 2016 there were 142 convictive rape judgments.
• The same year, a total of 6715 rape was reported.
• In Brå's National Security Examination 2016, there were data of 190,000 serious sex offenses.
You can not therefore draw conclusions about all rapists based on the mapping. At the same time, the trend is the same as in previous investigations of suspected offenders, showing that people with foreign backgrounds are overrepresented.
Previous investigations of
suspected offenders also show people with foreign backgrounds are overrepresented. Also, similar trends have been taking place in other European countries.
It is quite extraordinary the lengths in which they are trying to downplay the problem. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them slapped a victim in the mouth and told her to keep her racist mouth shut. lol
