there was a point where i earnestly believed they were going to cast off the culture of insularity they had built at gaf, and actually be open to reasonable discussion and open to varying opinions, or atleast be able to handle themselves like adults without the bait banning/shit slinging/etc. that was so prominent before

instead they decided to just give it a week then pick up where they left off on gaf, which was headed towards the forum cannibalizing itself anyways, which will be spectacular to watch

It was pretty illuminating to me in the gaf-crash discords how many people really fucking hated what gaf had become and how it was being moderated.

I don't know anything about the guy besides that tweet -- which seems innocuous to me.  The poster asked "Why would they hire him?  Haven't they seen his social media?"    I wasn't talking about the place he is employed at now.  I don't know anything about that.   That's not the point.
