They could certainly try to have an actual discussion about it, but if their perspective doesn't align with whichever moderator happens to swing by to check reports interpretation of policy the odds are pretty good they'll join the - checks stalkerbot graphs - 4986 users who also thought actually discussing things was the way to play the game.

Only recently have healthy adults been recommended to get the seasonal flu shot/vaccine. In prior years, before H1N1, ie prior to 2008, the idea was to save the available stocks for those that are most vulnerable.

That's not all either! But sure, yeah, let's give him the benefit of the doubt and continue on as if everything's fine and this discussion was started in good faith.

Edit: For what it's worth, I do believe the employee deserved to be fired, but the discussion around this issue has been tainted from the start due to the OP's apparent biases.

Except it's not. I addressed his argument—that the cashier said the n-word—directly (at the end of my first paragraph, when I said his claim wasn't substantiated by the video evidence), then pointed out his pattern of his behavior to draw attention to why I don't personally view him as credible. Besides, what else do you want me to say? There isn't much of an "argument" there; there's a claim, one which isn't backed up by the evidence.

Edit: But thanks for making it clear that your understanding of logical fallacies is flimsy at best!

Edit 2: This right here—this post I'm responding to—is exactly why, in the twelve years I've been a member of this community, I've never posted. I did nothing to warrant that response. But even talking about "genes" is besides the point of IQ research. Africa, Europe, America, Asia all follow the same pattern that fall entirely on racial lines. Testing a group of Europeans will always yield averages in the 100 range. Testing a group of East Asians will always yield averages in the 105 range. Testing a group of Sub Saharan Africans will always yield averages in the 60s ~ 80s range.

If there was some freak outlier that completely destroys this theory, I would be inclined to believe IQs have no relation to race.

However, Scientists who did try to debunk this research still haven't moved the needle and find an anomaly. The highest average IQ ever recorded in Africa was 80, and it was taken from samples from elite African schools. That to me is proof that environment or wealth does not explain the differences across the entire world.

Anything's possible, but I don't think she'll earn her way in other states where her message doesn't strike home. She'll flop in the sunbelt and the West and struggle in a very divided Northeast.

I'd say Harris, Beto, or *maybe* Biden. Biden for me is Warren for you where I just really wish he doesn't run. Gillibrand as a possible, she fits somewhat in a gray area between where Harris and O'Rourke would work.

Sanders wins Vermont and maybe West Virginia and Kentucky if Ojeda never gets off the ground, just Vermont if Ojeda does. A few of the deep-red western states might go for a dark horse (like Moulton or something). Booker and Gillibrand pick up a few between them, Warren takes the Great Lakes less PA, and the major battle is fought in the Northeast, Sunbelt, and the blue/purple parts of the West, with whoever of Harris, O'Rourke, and Biden can make the most headway there emerging triumphant.

A thought on what Harris winning would look like:

Warren: Maine, Massachusetts, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Alaska, Nebraska
Biden: New Hampshire, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania

She needs to get a grip in on the heavily-black parts of the I-95 corridor (From Boston down to DC) without losing too much to the people in that corridor who have home field advantage, those NY, MD, and DC wins are crucial while shedding only other competitors home states.

Gillibrand's I kind of just picked based on "states that elected women senators." She's the hardest one to figure out where she would fit in a crowded field. She's in an odd position covering some of the appeal of Beto, Kamala, and Warren but could get squeezed by all of them. The recent polling showing Harris having strong favorables among black women would let Harris make inroads in NY.

New York hits a little later in the cycle too so someone who hasn't won a lot of states by that point like Gillibrand in my model would perform weaker.

The battleground that'll decide the election is:
Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Illinois, DC, Virginia, NC, SC, Georgia, Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Those are the kind of questionmark areas that we need to see how the frontrunners play.

I'll admit, I actually found that last part quite humorous. I do enjoy a good art gallery.

But more to the point, I don't expect you to say anything to me. I think you genuinely believe that you heard the cashier say the n-word--likely because you heard someone else mention it before you saw the video, and that, along with your apparent biases, informed what you think you heard--but I'm not hearing it. And even if it is there in the video, you can't definitively say, as you did in the OP, that it was the cashier who said it. That's an incredibly irresponsible thing to do when something can't clearly be ascertained.
