I rewatched Infinity War for the first time since it came out in theaters tonight. I saw it three times back then, with different friends, so today marks the fourth time I see it. The one-two punch of Groot dying followed by Spider-Man crying "I don't want to go" repeatedly to Tony still gets to me. I can't stop the tears from flowing.Man. It's such a great ending. I pray that Avengers 4 lives up to the lofty expectations created by this one.Also, I want to say that it would be very sad if A4 went back to the light happy-go-lucky tone of the franchise. It can't do that. The movie needs to sit in the tone established at the end of Infinity War for most, if not all, of its duration. A4 needs to be the Marvel movie containing the least amount of humor so far. Whatever humor is in the movie needs to be very light, and cannot be at the expense of pathos. If they don't respect that rule... not only would it be a terrible missed opportunity for them, but it would maybe ruin the ending of IW.
