I bought an iphone, why cant i get android apps??  :doge

It could be worse- there's a dude who posts mock-ups of Switch game boxes he makes on Twitter and then tweets out to company twitters begging for the games to be released on Switch.  Stuff that you're never going to see on there like Street Fighter V.
I'd send him a picture of a pussy right back and remind him he's never getting any.

My high school anime club was huge, like 40+ people sometimes, most of them not even awkward. We’d have Naruto headband-making events and Hare Hare Yukai workshops. It was run by one of the most popular teachers in the school, so that helped dissuade the stigma a bit. Still the occasional total weirdos yelling quotes or making a fuss over dubs though.

I got into anime at the tail end of high school. I'm glad it didn't happen sooner.

Someone asked me years later if I watch anime, and I said "no, I grew out of it." It felt like a jerk thing to say looking back later but it was kind of true. The shows I watched when I was into I could not enjoy in the same way today as an adult.

User banned (3 days): Disingenuous arguing. Ignores Trump's repeated and documented calls for political violence.

I can right now, on this board, call Donald Trump a flaming pile of shit that I can't wait to see out of office so he can be prosecuted and hopefully jailed for all sorts of corrupt bullshit, without fear.

His economic policies are aimed at strongarming for the sake of achieving free trade. He's certainly a capitalist with a tinge of protectionism.

Fortunately our amazing constitution basically prevents a single party state, so we can forgo that aspect of fascism.

He's not a supporter of political violence.

The immigration rhetoric certainly has tinges of it, but the actual policies are way more complex to call one thing or another.

I'm a market socialist with a degree in political economy (aka marxism), I certainly get the difference between Marx and Stalin. The poster I replied to made claims about fascism to equate nazism, which are similar but different, just like Marxism and Stalinism. That's why I picked Stalinism isntead of Trotskyism ;)

I think the direct correlation between alt-right and Neo-Nazis is incredibly nuanced, due to the overuse and overlabeling of both terms. But until I see actual Fascist tenents being proposed as law, it's hard for me to label the guy as such. Trump is a giant piece of shit, but I really don't think he's a Nazi or even a Nazi supporter. I don't really think he's a Fascist either.

Wow, even by eras usual standards this is a spectacularly shitty ban reason.

Can we get The Kree banned as an actual bona fide nazi though?
Because his second favorite forum game after just posting a post count is to tell people who say that political change in a democracy happens through dialogue and not violence that they are "lying".

Did you throw that fact around back then or something? The only way anyone would know that about you is if you told ppl about it.
One day, some us guys were talkin about what kind of porn we watched, and that was what I told them. A bunch of kids teased me about this all throughout high school, and so I went like 5 or so years without watching hentai afterwards.

There's literally millions of years of genetic imperative to explain why a species that sires offspring via sexual reproduction will 'default' to being straight, because its fairly hard wired to continue to propagate a species.
That's not a political statement in favor of homophobia, its just the simple facts that heterosexual procreation will continue to be the most widespread manner of reproduction until you get to the point that technological procreation is as cheap and easy as getting drunk and forgetting to use contraception.

Opinions are subjective. You can't speak for all anime fans. Many anime fans love Sword Art Online and it's perfectly valid to recommend it to newcomers. It's one of the most popular anime for a reason. Sword Art Online might be considered the peak of the anime form with its focus on wish fulfilment male power fantasies (this of course means sexual fanservice for the virgins and rape scenes are perfectly fine as just mere challenges for the hero) that can be inspiring for losers to finally go up a level in the social hierarchy. Please try to understand the importance of Sword Art Online to losers.

I don't think a guy who did the whole arranged marriage thingy gets to be judgmental about leveling up in social hierarchies.

Yeah, my time in grade school was before that shit really blew up- graduated in '99.  One started up when I was a senior and close to being done- the teacher who started it was pretty young, walked into art class and saw me doing something in an anime-esque style, and ran over to ask what year I was.  He looked really bummed when I said I was outta there soon.  :doge

No way I would have joined- I was already battle-hardened from several years of working at a game shop and having to deal with all kinds of crazies.  Some absolute cringe-worthy anime peeps came in.  And while your typical 'weeb' type is probably just socially-awkward and/or goofy, I would have rather have dealt with those types instead- back in the day it was anime elitist snob types who came in to turn their nose up at the newest VHS release and rant about how they were into this stuff years prior for an hour.   If only they took their personal hygiene as seriously.

But I do still vividly remember the one big weeb who popped up towards the end of high school- a blonde, blue-eyed white girl who claimed to be part Japanese, had a bad green hair dye job, and called herself the name of her favorite Sailor Moon character.  You never forget your first crazy.

Yes, Valve should manually review the game and approve it, but the notion that the game was flagged as "fake" is patently false. Unless your game is being published by a publisher with a known track record, your app will have to satisfy the requirements, and until then will exist in a sort-of-limbo where Steam is "learning" about the game.

Polygon gonna Polygon.
Didn't think mods here stooped to the level of publication/journalist trolling and callouts (while also being wrong). Valve's policy relating to this is about games that are fake. The fake or real policy impacted this game, period.

Of all the things to get pissy about a resetera mod doing, this guy chooses to defend Polygons honour

WHY are people defending this release's price point? Get a grip.
Quote from: Mhj, post: 16697309, member: 26875
I wish Nintendo would release it for $100 at first, and only be playable for people with Switch Online for the first 2 weeks. And then slowly reduce price to a fixed $60 over time. Just to troll people like you.

I don't work for Wall Street, I don't work for Nintendo and so you know I don't live in a very wealthy country, I don't have money to spare, I don't think I spent more than 200$ for games last year and I buy from SA region my Switch games to get them 25% cheaper. But I also realize that since I like Nintendo games and I want them to keep doing it, it's good for them to want to keep their profits high. [...]
Oh and as much as I'd like to pay less for their games, I admire them for their price stance because it's the only company I don't regret buying day one

There's a reason that people who spend their time watching and debating cartoons find themselves amongst the lowest social strata.

This is the same for anyone who partakes in media created for children, even video games, to some extent.

Most people grow out of childish stuff, while others continue watching shit like anime, Power Rangers, and so on. You do you, but it obviously puts you at odds with people who leave that behind in adolescence and into adulthood.

I loathe anime to death outside of very good, atypical stuff (Grave of the Fireflies and other serious works), but find it hilarious when grown-ass people actively debate what superpowers they would rather have from whatever flavor of the month anime they are watching.

You've got over 1700 posts on a video game enthusiast forum. Why are you this judgmental?

Because I am a well-adjusted person who rarely discusses video games at all? I would be shocked if I made more than 250 videogame-side posts between GAF and ERA in the past 13 years. I grew out of video games for the most part. Discussing them is no longer a part of who I am, outside of very few things that tie back to my adolescence (Shenmue and 3rd Strike), other than that, games have lost me. I am on ERA because I like the people I have come to known over the past 19 years and would be sad to not hear their insight on politics, music, sports, and general news.

FACT CHECK: No well-adjusted person would describe themselves as well-adjusted.

Trust me, a well-adjusted person.

I'm looking at the Yoshi thread because it had "Read mod post" in the title.
How can one derail a thread for a 1,5 minute Yoshi game trailer.

How in the fuck  :crazy

Yeah when I was in HS there wasn't an anime club, we did have a computer club where someone installed the cyberpunk point and click game "Rise of the Dragon" though, that was cool. I started getting into anime in HS but apart from the internet I didn't know anyone else into it, I definitely wasn't cool in HS (or now either).
