what exactly is the logic that this is "ammunition" or a "nuclear weapon"? because it might be used to be skeptical of future incidents and that's bad because if people were skeptical in this incident...they wouldn't have fallen for a hoax?
everything has to fit their stupid points scoring good team vs. bad team system to help them cope with their inability to grok human thought processes
most people probably heard this and went "wow that's terrible" and now they're hearing the new stuff and going "wow that's terrible"
a next incident that isn't so full of holes won't be disbelieved because this one proved it's impossible, most people who won't want to believe or will want to believe will do that no matter what, maybe a few people might be extra skeptical compared to normal but if the story doesn't sound flat out insane like this one did they're going to go "wow that's terrible"
it's certainly not going to change anything for the ResetERA.com poster, the mods and the prominent members are still going to hammer home their personal view on anyone who dissents no matter what, they'll still ban posters for "victim blaming" or "excusing hate crimes" or whatever else
and in the end Frank O'Connor will vomit out another bunch of word salads including responding to the same tweet multiple time with the same image while then going off on people who drive too slow when merging into traffic
nothing changes, safety in routine, they have nothing to worry about
