Keep a flimsy axe handy. Regular axes still chop down trees at the third swing

Stone Axe is better, it doesn't chop down trees but it's as durable as regular Axe.

Hnng. Hype is catching me for this, although I never was really interested in the game before. Seems like a game to buy digital as you probably want to play it for a long time. Just can't resell it if I do that...

How good is this as a 15 minutes before you go to bed game? Is that enough to get something out of it?

Depending on your goals, fantastic. But you have to work to get to that point.

Btw Lager whatever way you signed off soft-crashed my and Dickie's session, everything we did while you were over got wiped out. :(

In fact your internet seemed a little flaky in general, it took two "tries" before a successful attempt to come to my island, and similarly there were two "tries" before the session soft-crashed.

When it crashed it said "A player you were with just left silently..." or something like that, and then Dickie and I walked out of the airport. I saw all the trees we had shaken still had apples and yup, soft crash. :(

If we could figure out what caused it we can tell other players and prevent it from potentially becoming widespread.

I just put the Switch to sleep.

Nintendo just has the worst online.

This litterly never happened to me playing Diablo in 96/97  :lol

Sorry Andy, but didn't know it was this bad with Nintendo, nothing to do with my internet.

Funny that your first hunch is to blame "flaky" internet and not abysmal netcode  :lol

The reason I couldn't connect is also really Nintendo, the game said you were using your nookphone and you can't connect then because  who knows what.

As if me disconnecting should have any influence on your progress.

Its 100% Nintendoh

So how do you get turnips? Is it only when the seller comes around, because mine doesn't arrive until Sunday.

I mean I kinda assumed it's cause you're a continent away during a global bandwidth shortage. It could also be my internet. But I've been online about ~20 times and that was the only issues I've had except for the first day...

In any case, you're frustrated. I get that. I'm also frustrated. Sleep mode was even handled better in the previous 3DS game.

As a partial solution, I believe you should be able to leave someone's island at any time by pressing the Minus button and selecting it from the menu.

Same omg thought I was the only one

Keep in mind it's only 80% of the price you'd get at Nook's

Also, TASTY PROTIP: CJ and Flick buy fish and bugs at higher prices, respectively! Been saving my orange stink bugs. :3

Confirmed:

Minus -> Return to my island

Instantly starts the return process when you're on someone's island. I believe the option is "End session" or similar if you're hosting other people.

I picked a spot for the tailors, so I’m guessing it will be there tomorrow or Friday

Couldn’t beat the clock before the shop closed so now I’m gonna have to wait until Friday to pay off my loan since no nook machine tomorrow

In NL coelcanth's have a large shape with a fin iirc. Are they still with a fin in NH? What should I look for? And do they still mostly show up in rainy weather?

Potato go to the green machine at nooks tent and redeem nook miles and buy the tool kit which acts like a belt. You can swap tools in seconds rather than shuffle through all of them. Saves time.
