Don't forget to pick up the Festivale Reactions set from Nook's Cranny, it goes away after Feb 15th! Or the other seasonal items either there and (a different set) through the Nook Shopping app.

Snow, snowboys, and the Frozen furniture DIY set are going away after Feb 25th too. 😭 Feels like they just got here. Snow only started sticking to the ground on Dec 11th... I guess that's why winter in AC feels so magical to me, snow on the ground lasts the shortest amount of the seasonal terrain changes...

Hey pilon wanna set a time for me to come over and try catching a giraffe stag? 😬 I only have 24 days left to take advantage of the southern hemisphere window for them, otherwise I'm waitin' until July. :fbm

5pm my time is 1am your time. Best bet is 10pm my time because I'm usually still away for another 45mins-1hr. If I just leave the Switch on it won't time out will it? Happy to leave it on overnight with the island open if so.

FYI I haven't seen one since I caught one. But I've not really been looking.

Damn that's gonna be tough! But yeah sounds like that might be the best bet. I'll try to get on closest to 10pm your time as I can.

I've had mixed results leaving my Switch online for extended periods. Make sure you don't have auto-sleep on I guess. :P

Thanks man. I. Can. Do. This. 😤

Today is the Lunar New Year apparently! According to my villagers today, anyways. :P

There's three new seasonal items you can only get Feb 10th to the 17th:

Quote
First, this holiday introduces a pair of Lucky Red Envelope and Bokjumeoni Lucky Pouch items in Nook Shopping that can be used to wrap Bells.

When you wrap Bells using one of these two items, the item is converted into either the Lucky Money or Sebaetdon items in your inventory. Then each converted item can be unwrapped to reveal some Bells, ideally for gifting to another player.

Secondly, a gorgeous Lunar New Year Decoration furniture item can be ordered for a wall-mounted decoration to celebrate the holiday.

I'm getting multiple Red Envelopes and Lucky Pouches, but probably only one or two Lunar New Year Decorations.

One hour update: I forgot spawns are severely decreased in multiplayer for whatever reason. :gloomy

Basically 1 beetle is spawning every 2-3 minutes lol. I've seen like 10 bugs on palm trees in the last hour.

Three hour update: leaving with like 5x each saw, elephant, etc. stags but no giraffe stag. Even caught a golden stag which is theoretically rarer... Will try again soon. No connection issues the entire time, which surprised me.

Thanks for the opportunity!

Also my plans tomorrow are suddenly less of a sure thing. And I'm annoyed about it and have communicated that annoyance to those responsible for derailing my plans.

Dunno what it is but post-Festivale has been the first time since launch I've been struggling to boot the game up each day (still doing my daily routines though.) Accomplished all early and mid-game goals and now I'm just looking at various grinds until completion.

Pissed me off today for the umpteenth time Redd shows up with 3 fakes and 1 genuine piece that I already have. Nintendo really needs to fix the RNG to guarantee at least 1 new genuine piece of art, because Redd takes 2 weeks to show up and at the current pace it'll take checking in weekly for two more years before the museum is completed (by my calculations.) Ridiculous.

The Mario DLC looks nice especially warp pipes, and we don't know what else could be included, but it's such a paltry amount of content tbh. I'm holding out hope for a big last hurrah for the launch anniversary but I'll probably drop off hardcore after that.

Got some inspiration with the seasonal changeover and Ohana Isle has its first new areas in months! :D

First up, taking a cue from the Able Sisters Cafe I set up last year, the Museum now has an expanded outdoor "overflow" area for both extra genuines as well as some fakes. If you see something you need let me know!

Since the first couple weeks I've been anticipating making a duel arena area, and now it's finally here! Might keep tweaking but really happy  with how it turned out. :)

I needed the stairs from the Lighthouse for the new Museum area, so I decided to just extend a land bridge to the Lighthouse for easy access.

Almost have enough Lily-of-the-valley flowers to fill the entire community garden. :)

Feel free to check out Ohana Isle at dream address DA-8053-6297-4495!

And with the final two sea-creatures made available by March, the aquatics wing of the Museum is officially complete! :D It of course joins the long-finished fossils wing.

1 bug and 24 art pieces remain until total completion. 8)

Hard to say. I wouldn't wait long.

Some new QoL features and Bunny Day items were announced as coming with the Sanrio content in 1.9.0, some are calling it the "Anniversary Update" since it's hitting on the 18th (two days before the 1-year mark.)

https://animalcrossingworld.com/2021/03/more-custom-design-slots-features-are-finally-coming-to-animal-crossing-new-horizons-march-update/

https://animalcrossingworld.com/2021/03/bunny-day-event-returns-march-26th-to-april-4th-with-new-easter-items-march-update/

- "Custom Design Pro Editor +" from Nook Miles Rewards doubles your custom designs from 50 to 100
- New types of items to use custom designs on: an umbrella, a small flag, a Japanese uchiwa fan, and a photo standee
- "Custom Designs Portal" from Nook Miles Rewards adds the Custom Designs app to your Nook Phone (no longer have to go when Able Sisters are open)
- New items for Bunny Day will be available to buy at Nook's, similar to some past holiday items

Not too exciting tbh, though I'm always pro adding functionality to the Nook Phone.
