So my vacation started yesterday and today I decided to sit-down and crank out some One Piece so I'm caught up to current manga schedule.
Chapters 830-899 (Chapter 900 now makes it 952 with the current manga on Shonen Jump and the weekly schedule. So in the next few days I might actually be caught up... maybe...):
Cho-bro.
Oda making fun of his infamous drawn face.
"Kawaii."
"Don't ask. Luffy expends three times more than a normal person."
Zolo/Zoro kinda looks like Smoker here.
All of them making an attempt only for Nami to get her assed pulled out of the fire by Jimbei to save Brooks.
"May I have a glimpse of those pant--" *smack* "EEZE!"
I love when Artists do that "I'll never forgive you" style of panel of 4th wall breaking.
"She wasn't asking you."
Pudding is Tsundere, and if Sanji and her don't get together in the end (even though she wanted to kill him), I'm going to be sad.
"Yeah! That's my honorary little sister!" Chopper.
"Luffy would have words with us."
I fucking
died at these panels. It's a callback to Big Mom's choice and Nami saying it to the cloud that loves her Tempo Baton's lightning clouds is just so
.
Tsun-Tsun~~~~~
"Why is he listing your best qualities?" "RIGHT?!" Oh Luffy and Chopper...
Arc was fucking huge: Taking up about 70 chapters (barring the 30 to set-up), which seems a little longer than the typical One Piece arc, but it might just be the slow build up to the wedding, the quickly done wedding, and then the drawn out (IMO) exiting. I'm
still not out of the territory yet, but I think it's about over.
Fun fact, these last few trade-paper-backs line up with the ten chapters, so I blew through like 6 or so volumes today. Not bad. I'm nearly caught up with the trade-paperbacks and since these weekly releases happen on Shonen Jump, I'm going to blow past Volume 94 (which is supposed to be published this month?) this week if I do ~10 chapters a day.
