The debate has nothing to do with a hypothetical cost-free 60fps, and everything to do with resource allocation, where 60fps does have costs. It takes time, money, and processing power to reach a locked 60fps. For the end-user, while the dev's time and money aren't necessarily important, the processing power allocation is. When people say a game like BotW should be locked 30fps, it's because bumping it to 60 would cost visual fidelity in a game that is already on the edge of occasionally being ugly, occasionally being beautiful. You can think that the cost is worth it; that's great. But some people don't. And that's where the debate lies. To say there is "not a debate" when there clearly is a debate as to how resources can best be allocated for each game is just plain wrong.

She didn’t put out “anything,” she published this story. If she’s wrong, she’ll be embarrassed and it will effect her credibility. If she’s right (and I believe she is), she acted swiftly to inform potential buyers of what they would be supporting by purchasing the DLC.
