LOL @ ERA comparing Ms. Marvel to Spider-Man. Like she's the chosen one after the Sony debacle. Spider-Man is massive.

As someone who read Ms. Marvel, her whole appeal is that she's a spider-man knockoff who balances school and secret identity stuff, something that Spider-Man proper hasn't tackled in forever since Dan Slott made him a super scientist for a living.

Kamala is just Peter Parker but she hit the "big time" before she got any notable villains or stories worth a shit.

Once we conquer Brazil, lets take Venezuela and Iran next and force them to keep their oil in the ground.

Brazil ok, the president is fascist and invasion is allowed, but Venezuela and Iran are democracies and that would be imperialism/colonialism.

Also, we should wait for president Bernie before invading and making Brazil an american territory. We can't do that with a president we don't like.

The sudden love fest from some for George Lucas is hysterical after spending the length of the prequel trilogy (plus some years after Sith) saying he destroyed their childhood. Prequels were unintentionally hilarious trash with numerous otherwise great actors mailing it in for a big paycheck. The only thing new about them was creating new lows with each movie.

But wasn't Captain Marvel the chosen one just this past March? How quickly their saviors change. Maybe even some over there have finally woken up to how boring Brie Larson has been in the role so far.

the one positive point raised by redlettermedia that has stuck in my mind is that at least they were different stories and added to the universe

as much as people hate "remember tie fighters? remember yoda?" the least the prequels can say is that they added "remember pod racing? remember darth maul?"

i.e. toys and video games that kids actually wanted to play with

I remember things from the latest movies but there is absolutely nothing that rings out as a fun new addition to the formula, something enduring

I'm aware of Kamala. I'm just staying losing Spidey was a big deal. Spider-Man has been the most popular Marvel character for decades now.  Ms. Marvel no way compares.

The MCU will be fine, but this hurts Disney a lot.  And I fully expect Sony to crash and burn Spidey again. The nerd overreaction was hilarious. It's all business at the end of the day.  But the Spider-Man IP is gold, especially when used paired with quality (Spider-Verse, Insomniac game, the two MCU movies).

Kojima no longer looks like he's 10 years younger than he is but the hairstyles and fashion help him to look 'young' I suppose.
The thing that most of these Ree-tards don't get is that overly bright and airbrushed PR photo's always make people look younger.

When you see those guys IRL they definitely don't look like someone you can mistake for a 20 or 30 year old.

Except Keanu Reeves of course.

Robert Downey Jr. - 54

Having to wait on my fans in the arcade so I could snag a coin from them which would last me for a good 3-4 hours of kicking ass in the fighting games cabinets. I was considered the absolute monster in basically all of the available cabinets like Street Fighter 2 & Zero, King of Fighters 96, History Fighter etc. If I was broke and none of those fellow kids would show, then I had to show off my skills to other kids who I didn't know by offering my help to make their game last more thus they'd just leave the game to me, and there would always be some of the other dudes who hated my guts because they had already lost so much money and would just not give up and challenge me infinitely. Fondest memories.
