Why do they think this "not giving a fuck about 8chan AMA" is isolated to "gamers?" No one gives a damn about the THQ 8chan thing other than ERA

As a side note, living in a country where nuclear power is prominent : it's not a panacea and managing it has its own set of issues (dismantling the plants is still an arduous, not properly mastered process. And waste obviously.). And I'm far from being a nuclear catastrophist. Please someone educate me if I'm wrong but it's also my understanding that Uranium isn't readily available to the point that we could imagine phasing out a big share of coal/oil/gas plants tomorrow with reactors in all major countries.

there is more than just old lightwater reactors and uranium

Easy. A productive discussion would have led a majority of posters to agree that the scene in question is super duper sexist.

I'm obviously reducing this to a very layman understanding. Still AFAIK with current technology (and the longstanding, so far unsuccessful, effort to implement new technology drastically reducing consumption), supply procurement would be an issue.

It’s not wild though. THQ is a c tier publisher. Not important. They were using 8 Chan because their marketing budget is probably pennies compared to even a company like Square Enix. Why the fuck would you compare them to Disney?

Was it a dumb move? Yeah. But people get that and move on.

adding in other popular contenders like throiums and numbers vary, but covering the entirety of the world of the world's consumption with the cheapest procurable and at least one hundred years is bandied about
stuff like thorium is common but not exactly the most in demand substance so prospecting is far from intensive, so adjusting the target to include more cost prohibitive deposits and >1000 years gets bandied about

in any case, there is enough to satisfy human need for a very sizable timespan

GEORGE: Oh, there's a videogame forum, Kramer's been going there.

JERRY: He's always raving. I finally got a chance to go there the other day, and I tell you this, you will be stunned.

ELAINE: Stunned by a forum?

JERRY: You can't read those takes standing up, your knees buckle.

ELAINE: Huh. All right. Come on.

JERRY: There's only one caveat -- the guys who run the place are a little temperamental, especially about the posting guidelines. They're secretly referred to as the Nazi Mods.

ELAINE: Why? What happens if you don't post right?

JERRY: They yell and you don't get your discussion.

ELAINE: What?

JERRY: Just follow the posting guidelines and you will be fine.

Same. Also, the lack of censors on HBO lead to less creative jokes. We wouldn't have "master of your domain" on HBO. We wouldn't have half of Seinfeld's euphamisms with HBO. And honestly, edgy humor is lazy humor (not that that applies to Curb, just that I dislike the trend of comedies having to be sooo fucking tryhard to be "relevant.")

It's a real thing Disney does to anything they own. Jack Kirby and Stan Lee did get in because Disney bought out Marvel.

Yup. Seinfeld is far more creative. Curb is hilarious but without censors there’s no way The Contest would turn out as hilarious as it did. Limitation breeds creativity.

Curb is like Always Sunny, in that good writers are able to keep a show alive in the face of stereotypes brought on by other shows and their writers.

Curb isn't at all like Seinfeld imo, aside from Larry David's sense of humor.

The last season of Curb had me laughing out loud, and there's not many shows that can manage that.

Curb came before Sunny. Like it predates Sunny by like 5 years.

Curb takes the joke structure of Seinfeld, which is multiple plot lines running separate that somehow manage to combine together in a hilarious sandwich of laughter. Which is the same sort of comedy Seinfeld made famous.

Heavy disagree. I think it’s more apt to say Sunny more like Curb rather than Vice verse. They clearly took the Seinfeld formula of “these people are awful people, look at them involve themselves in the modern world” and takes it to an extreme. Meanwhile Curb is just more lewd Seinfeld.

Vergangenheitsbewältigung is a problematic term among historians. :wag

Semanticslly, bewältigung means something is over and done with. Please use the better terms Vergangenheitspolitik, Geschichtspolitik and Erinnerungskultur. :wag
