Are people actually upset about army recruitment ads before Captain marvel.

If so seriously fuck off.

Imagine being triggered so much by a meme/instagram stories mocking the Military for putting recruitment ads on a military Marvel film.

Just imagine...

military recruiting targeted at kids is always disgusting
On that level yes I can somewhat agree.

But not targeting teens and young adults. The military is full of shit no doubt, but based on experience with friends and family it’s helped plenty of people actually have a worthwhile life.

So I’m not against them advertising to young teens, espically young women where it may not even have crossed their mind.

In an ideal world you wouldn't have such a huge fucking military sucking up so much money and spending so much money on propaganda.
But this isn't an ideal world and you do, and there are plenty of worse things young folks with no real options can get up to than a stint in the military.

Personal tastes and all that but to me Infinity War was a far, far better film than any of the best oscar nominees of 2018. I've probably watched it 8 times and it never gets old to me, its a near flawless story and the pacing is perfection. I guess it does require you to have some knowledge of the characters so without that its probably a mess.

In 10 years I'll definitely still rewatch Infinity War and Black Panther, I don't think I would rewatch any of the 2017 or 2018 oscar nominees ever again.

I'm glad Disney made another $500 million. I was afraid they were going bankrupt.
Now they can bring more joy to the world with comic book movies.

All it takes for them to become drones for a corporation is some performative wokeness from a cynical PR team from said company, and the notion that their financial success will "own the trolls/incels/MRA/Nazis." They don't even realize how much of a corporate shill they've become.

I just like how movie nerds spent years complaining about mediocre action popcorn flicks dominating the box office but now that same crowd cheers gleefully as a movie they admit is just OK makes $150 million because comic books.

PBS news video if I had to use my recommendations as a basis. But then, I just right click on the weird ass shit I don't want to watch and then say I'm not interested and it seems to go away.

BTW, I seem to be getting the random small ass lefty youtube channels who seem to try to dunk on Joe Rogan whenever chance they get for the easy clicks, I guess.

Yes, they can be very lazy about updating those. I made a post in the former garbage thread once about a bunch of duration pending bans they hadn't updated after like a week and somebody went through and set them all the next day. :american

Reminds me of when I got a month ban in 2007 for "trolling Sony” by saying PGR4 looked about as good as whatever Gran Turismo title was coming out around then.

I owned a PS3 at the time. It was bizarre.

If it's Sweet Nicole, no.  She orders a perma-pending and asks the other mods on discord what they think.  After a seven days of nobody saying anything she issues the perma satisfied in the knowledge that she let the committee totes debate it and it's a justified move.

It reminds me of that thread describing how they vote in North Korea.

So permas are based on individual mods instead of an actual committee. What a joke.
