I love this because it's glover saying fuck you to the producers.

 :confused

he didn't just show up and ad-lib some shit and they went "welp, guess we have to use it"  :idont

spiderman homecomings a funny movie. Its probably the (intentionally) funniest marvel film

why are you confused? That's what I meant.

I liked homecoming, up there with the first ironman.

and i hope chappelle goes in with his comment.

Maybe looking like he had a stroke and sounding like he was high was an insult to the producers

wow, what a racist

And lastly, Brie Larson's comment isn't even that inflamattory. Yes, the critic scene is predominantly dominated, culturally, by middle aged white men. Meaning the way the culture is conveyed is still primarily through their lens. Mike might scoff and be self deprecating, but in an age of youtube and mass consumable media where critics ARE incredibly popular, this shit matters.

Film criticism wasn’t born with Channel Awesome.

Those films are considered “arthouse” films and middle age white men love those. Hell if anything those films are targeted towards them. It’s different when it’s media targeted towards a demographic of young people and girls.

I was going to attempt to basically summarize what Lindsay Ellis said about the topic but I’ll just link her video. She isn’t talking about white male critics (she talks about female critics too) but her overall points about the culture hating things made for girls can be applied to the conversation of “this wasn’t made for you so I don’t care what you have to say.” With that in mind, i can see why someone like Brie would say she wants to hear what girls or POC have to say about A Wrinkle In Time.

https://www.resetera.com/threads/redlettermedia-ot-very-cruel.804/page-104#post-18764669

I don’t think the original A Wrinkle In Time book is in the same level as Twilight.

So...indie movies about black issues featuring black casts/writers/directors are actually targeted to...middle aged white men like RLM? Guys in their mid to late 30s who love such movies as Star Wars, Jurassic World, and garbage low budget borderline amateur action movies from the 80s?

Where are the teenage bro critics who can properly rate masterpieces like transformers or Baywatch?

To be fair a wrinkle in time is a classic kids adventure book from 1962 with nothing the least bit woke about it other than "embrace your individuality"

So I wouldn't be surprised if a middle aged white dude who read it when he was a kid would be under the mistaken impression that the movie might be a nice nostalgia trip

Like if they woke up lotr and made the fellowship really diverse and put Aragorn in a wheelchair and Pippin struggling with his identity and all the orcs are barely-disguised white men, if the reaction was bad I don't know if you could say everyone should've realized "it wasn't made for them"

what's woke about not understanding and prioritizing the experiences of marginalized people and refusing to purchase an internet streaming device for your maid?

https://www.resetera.com/threads/microsoft-to-nag-windows-7-users-to-upgrade.104886/

Actual developer Krejlooc is hulking out on anyone in the thread who questions his LIVED experience with Win 10 breaking his compatibilities

Quote from: Krejlooc
Do you know HOW I know that about Kinect V2? Because I was working on a project during the entire "nag transition" shit last time, and walked away from my computer for a few hours only to come back and see it had installed Windows 10 for me without my permission. It took me a full fucking day to get back to work because I had to undo Microsoft's shit.

Quote from: Krejlooc
Gotta love how so many people want to talk to me about hypotheticals

when I'm talking about actual experience

Quote from: Krejlooc
But so many people ITT are like "why don't you just pay 20 times more for a very special license instead hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?"

There is only one man who can settle this question of whether or not to upgrade!

Quote from: Frank 'Stinkles' O'Connor
Hey guys,

You really should upgrade tho.

I never ever shill. Heaven forfend. So this is real talk. If you choose to upgrade to the intuitive, modern, secure and elegantly simple Windows 10 Operating system you will enjoy many years of good fortune, sexual charisma and increased physical beauty.

Also Win 10 now unborks itself if it borkulates your compudador during install.

AND Windows 10 now lets you run Android apps via screen mirroring.

There are also still ways to upgrade for free or at a discount, including Accessibility programs, existing keys for business versions of 7 and 8 and some tinkery looking methods who's legality I am honestly not 100% clear on.

There are no other particular reasons why I am bugging you to install Windows.

Spider-Man: Far From Home has two transgender actors.

Who?

The new Jake Gyllenhall movie.

Oh ok?

Yeah, he's talked about his parents quite a bit in the past and how John Amos from Good Times reminds him of his dad or some shit.

Of course, he's also claimed to live in the Heights, Houston Metro (where he's run numerous clubs), Clear Lake near NASA, and various other areas around the city.  Also claims his parents have owned a restaurant in the Heights for like 30 years where they've lived for generations, but a couple weeks ago they were living in Kemah which is near Clear Lake.  My guess is that he's just an angry liar who changes his stories based on the conversation at hand.

He's also gone by TheSonicRetard on Reddit and Penny Arcade.  Dude's made the rounds.

DC beat 'em to the punch with Batwoman.  Openly lesbian Jew, played in live-action by a genderfluid actress.  Of course, that wasn't enough for some people, because they didn't think she was "gay enough" or something.  Also she's white, so fuck her right?

You see batwomans name and costume, and an audience will get it.

I don't know how many fucking 'phases' Disney go through before they're trying to sell an Avengers movie made up of characters like Indra, White Tiger, Hulking and Wiccan, and its probably not incel manbaby alt right gamergaters that will account for that not getting crazy box office heat.

So according to this site (no idea if it's accurate or not, this website generates about $120k in ad revenue a year: http://www.siteworthtraffic.com/report/resetera.com

Now obviously a chunk of that would go to hosting and maintenance, etc, but it's still a significant amount of money leftover. Who does it go to? Do admins get paid? Do mods get paid? Is it an evilore situation where one guy gets most of the money?

Zero faith there will be an openly LGBT led movie any time soon, and definitely not more overt than Fantastic Beasts 2 at the most.

I don't see any way whatsoever that a bunch of you don't end up disappointed.

The Chapelle thing is just great.
These guys ask him on: "Say something funny dave!" with their plushies and rainbow letters.
So he says: "Yeah very gay"

Which offends them.

The real big question is will we see a lot more Frozen 2 or Captain Marvel kids costumes this Halloween. I'm guessing Marvel since Frozen 2 doesn't technically release till Nov 22nd.

How does Disney expect to compete with Marvel with this kind of scheduling blunder?

This is an ok post, but there's some problems I am seeing. I'm not sure what is going in the OP with the over-usage of bold and underline, but it makes the post itself extremely difficult to read. Additionally, when you're outlining this as some form of breakdown on a situation, it is strange that many of these points are raised without citation or linking to the referenced incident.

Two examples:

Quote
People are, in fact, excited by new storefronts.
A statement like this needs to have some sort of citation or elaboration. Who is excited by storefronts? Who are these people?

Quote
we learned that all these exclusive games would launch for a 12 month exclusive period
While I know the referenced sources here, it would be to your benefit to provide those sources so a reader unfamiliar with the situation can access the information for themselves.

What's a premium web server cost on Azure? 3 grand a year? Double that for load balancing, hell, triple it and you hit 10 grand maybe with a LB in place too?

Cerium rolling in dat dough.

Capitalism works!

How many ways does that get split?
IIRC, Cerium gets well over half, and the rest is split among the admins at launch, Emily Rogers, shinobi, Nibel, etc.

shosta I think knows more of the specifics.

Isn't Cerium the sole owner?
No, I think more than four people signed the LLC.
