If that makes you feel better, I always counted out of the "most of the press is spineless". :")

The bravery of getting blocked from a Skype group for being an annoyance.

Man, ShockingAlberto should really resign over this, because as *checks notes* Senior Editor West Coast of GameStops Preorder Generator Pamphlet, Former International Cricketer and Prime Minister of Pakistan, GameStop are still going to be begging for those sweet sweet GameStop exclusive Preorder Bonuses, and GameInformer are still going to shill every upcoming THQ title hard with previews designed to generate pay-upfront preorders.

Some people there actually explained the judge reasoning but is not like RE cares about genuinely trying to be informed about stuff they bitch about.

The gaming media sucks balls and deserves all the criticism it gets because it has not developed any sort of academic credibility the same way the film media did.

Gaming journalists strive for credibility, but where is their expertise in the same way film critics have it? Gaming critics still mainly emphasise technical achievement rather than artistic and have no way to critically analyse the content of a game.

Could you imagine if a film reviewer spent 90% of their review talking about technical aspects? Even for the biggest blockbusters they focus on story and theme over style and technical visual aspects. Even when they do talk about visuals, they are in relation to how they add to the filmmaker's intent, not how "face meltingly awesome" they are.

TL;DR fuck gaming media, they're corporate shills dressed up as journalists.

It's not moral here, it's also legal.
Genuine question, since I was very much against THQ's actions, but what laws did they break?
Since 8chan is hosting child porn, I think THQ doing an AMA and promoting 8chan can be related to sharing/distributing child pornography.

They weren’t sharing links to child pornography tho.
Because they didn't share an image url? Is that a way around it "I only shared the website, not the actual porn" checkmate atheists.

to be fair between hype culture pandering and grandstanding wokeness it didn't take long for film criticism to throw its code of conduct in the toilet.

While I appreciate the open and rampant vilification of journalism from ResetEra. I think they need to look inward first, they clearly want the press to take the THQ Nordic X 8chan AMA event seriously, but not even their own forum administrators will.

They need to show everyone, including the press, how it's done by placing a full ban on all THQ related video games, definitely for games going forward, and possibly retroactively. Any developer with THQ on their resume should probably be doxed, and definitely harassed. Maybe a nice hashtag to go with it like #TH8Gate (not to be confused with Tony Hawk's Project 8 ).

Eh, Car reviewers will talk about the technical aspects on what 0-60 times are, MPG, safety ratings, the underpinning of the engines, past models reliability. They will also talk about the car makes them feel when they're driving it.

User Warned: Trolling and thread derailment.

Here's a free one for anyone who wants to use it. (Image removed from quote.)

User Banned (1 Week): Modwhining. Long history of attacks against moderation, and previously warned for the same behaviour.

Welp thread ruined we ain’t moving past that no time soon. The slap on the wrist is cute tho

Someone derailed a thread to the point mods rebooted it? A warning.

Someone in passing called that warning a slap on the wrist? 1 week ban.

Lol, you can see the organs of these mods. They really think that they're sacred, when in actuality they're twats.

I was complaining about the fact that there's a porn I just finished viewing starring a fabulous woman named, "Asa Akira".  She's just a wonderful person all around, folks.  Butthole like the dickens.  Anyway, she was starring in a series called, "Bitch Confessions".   My question was:  Why are they so mean.  She wasn't a bitch at all in the scene.  And I have serious doubts she's a bitch outside of it, too.

That was my post.

Quote from: Calvarok
There is no such thing as a "neutral" theme. Any story ends up saying something

I defy these dumbfucks to find any story that can't be interpreted as having both positive/negative or liberal/conservative themes

Little Red Riding Hood is a story about rape culture, the "wolf" symbolizes rapists hiding in the bushes waiting for young women to come along, it's an outdated cautionary tale that puts the onus of caution on the woman rather than simply teaching rapists not to rape

Little Red Riding Hood is also a chilling tale about living in a country without universal healthcare, so young children have to trudge through the woods with medicine for their grandmas, therefore it is woke and something to be held up as a dark mirror to our society

Little Red Riding Hood is also a story about how women are weak and need a big strong man to save them in the end, which is simply revolting, throw the story in the trash with all the other outdated media

But wait, Little Red Riding Hood is a shining example of an early story featuring a FEMALE protagonist, with an adventurous spirit setting off alone, and not only that, from Red's point of view she has a conversation with another woman (her grandma) about a subject other than a man, therefore it even passes the Bechdel test  :o

Also, what's with Gillette's *marketing* team attempting to piss off what should be their main demographic - males who go outside and live in normal reality. Also, what's with Gillette's *marketing* team attempting to piss off what should be their main demographic - males who go outside and live in normal reality. The people they are trying to appeal to mostly dont look like they shave, possibly since they dont have to since they never leave the safety of their long worn in couch dent.

"Woke" marketing is all the rage with corporations nowadays. Seems Gillette decided to jump all in on that strategy.
