I still lose it on the hypocrisy of them demanding a sacrificial lamb (right or otherwise), while completely ignoring that any company is not going to broadcast HR actions at all. Even in the US where labor laws are weaker. In Europe, it’s way stronger.

As always, they argue a position for people, so long as they are ‘good’ people. The ‘bad’ people don’t deserve the same laws.

Right now what they are trying to do in any thread about THQ, is a targeted harrassment campaign specifically intended to try and get somebody fired; and let's not pretend that the ultimate goal is not to remove them from the industry altogether. Because any linkedin scouring of movement to any other company would certainly have a followup topic on "Paedophile endorsing shitbag is now working at ______".
Because they did an extremely poorly conceived AMA. And then subsequently apologised for it.

Does it have to be a female employee before self-awareness as to what their actions actually are and what their goal is kicks in?

The only example I can think of thats sorta comparable was a woman who actually defended paedophilia and suggested it be legalised, but was also moonlighting as an escort while working for a games company with a very family oriented image, and the contingent of orange gaf that formed purple gaf were falling over themselves to declare her being fired was total uncalled for bullshit

What they're getting at is right. Testimony is evidence.

However, a bloody knife and a bloody scream carry the same weight, and you need to find out if the knife is covered in ketchup and if the scream is part of an acting piece.

But they still wont ban THQn talk. What does it take?

If they give in to demands to ban THQ, then the mods would have to consider banning a whole list of things that rankles their users' feathers. They would have to ban CDPR, which they would never do as being the one prominent forum that doesn't allow for Cyberpunk 2077 discussion would be a traffic killer. They would have to ban Youtube/Google. Imagine not being about to link to YT videos or use Google links. They would have to ban Twitter. And those are just off the top of my head.

The list of thing Reset users want to ban grows weekly. The mods are actually being smart in not giving in to the calls to ban shit. It would kill the forum and make it as unprofitable run as NeoGAF is today.
CDPR threads don't get turned to shit instantly like THQn ones, you'll get a couple of comments here and there, but THQn threads are a (literally) pointless repeat of the same two shitposts over and over.
It's disingenuous to keep them in this state.

Notice how you have to go REALLY far down to see anyone mention the 8chan incident.  People don't care.

Yeah there were people confused as to why Nickelodeon would do business with them like anyone worth a damn would have knowledge/care about that situation.

They probably had no idea that stuff was on the website and decided to post there because it was decided on a whim without knowing all the details of the website. It's not the publisher's fault but the PR person, I don't see THQ proper as the ones responsible.
YES THEY DID, ENOUGH! YOU CANNOT EVEN GET INTO 8CHAN VIA GOOGLE SINCE THEY BLACKLISTED IT! THESE THINGS TAKE MONTHS OF PLANNING!!

in 2015 Google blocked them for about an hour, then after investigating further saw fit to undo the change

era, ban google btw

I don't see how that overrides the mountains of evidence that ms galaxy has provided in multiple topics

It must be frustrating to be a REra user that subscribes to the allowed ideas. I mean, Kingdom Come is a success, no one gave a shit about Jontron in A Hat in Time and he's still famous and growing on YouTube, PDP has 96 million subscribers, basically no one cares about THQ issues, etc. They have their victories when coincidentally they align with the majority of left/moderate people, but when they're basically the fringe of lefty politics (90% of the time) it must be quite harsh.

I mean, at least half of the world are LITERALLY nazis to them. That's a terrifying world to live in.

That’s quite the accusation.

But luckily, accusation amounts to evidence, so I’m forced to believe it.

on top of that they continually say "deplatforming works" but I'm having a hard time finding evidence that supports that, in any sense of the phrase

if they mean "the tactics we use to deplatform someone eventually succeed," this obviously doesn't apply to JonTron, PDP, THQ, etc.

hell it doesn't even apply to that straight boy conversion makeup guy on youtube who set records for most subscribers lost, started gaining in the net positive again on May 16th, and is right back to where he was

if they mean "when someone is deplatformed, it stops the spread of their bad ideas" this is obviously not true, look at Carl of Akkad getting deplatformed off Patreon, remaining popular and then running for public office

or if you want to talk about pedophiles like Milo getting deplatformed, did that really stop the spread of things he would've said anyway, did it really do anything to stem the tide, or did others just step in to take his place

Does deplatforming work?
