Imagine thinking this "What i want is to try to keep you as informed as possible on the sales side of the industry" is important.

Then imagine wanting to be informed on the "sales side of the industry" on your free time.
But if i don't obsess over sales numbers, how will i know if my sports team chosen megacorp is winning or not?  ???

Square are really schizophrenic in how they handle things, because you can see the clash between the different regional branches of Europe, Japan and America in how they handle things.
So while they'll make a Hitman ad full of scantily clad fetishwear nuns from the Euro branch, and have big titty fanservice featured prominently in their biggest franchise from the Japan side of things, Square US (ie Crystal Dynamics) seemingly go to great lengths to make Laura Craft as pitiful, broken and unsexy to people not into torture porn and broken people as possible.
Cindy  :aah

Tifa is a cool redesign, but I don't see how it changed much about her look. She's still got pretty fat honkers, she still shows more or less the same. She simply looks more realistic, like every other character in the game. I don't know why some people thought she'd look like a stripper with giant fake tits like 4chan would want, or a completely covered up flattie like Resetera would want.

Also there's nothing wrong with fanservice characters. The problem is when that's the only kind of female character, but there's nothing inherently wrong with designing characters who are mostly focused on sex appeal (men and women both).

No, I agree, its just while Square straddle three different markets with three very different sensibilities, its the US side of things that are kicking up all of the fuss, because the US are waaaaaaaay more prudish about tig ole biddies, and waaaaaaay more into graphic violence

So "ethics department" is accurately translated? Pretty fancy title for ratings watchdogs.

Or do they scrutinize/absolve their mobile games divisions practices as well? :thinking

Actually I just realized I probably do have way more contacts/friends in the industry than some of these ResetERA.com insiders but I just think of them as idiots I've known for ages before they got in the industry.

Plus like half of them work at EA on mobile games now, that doesn't count at all. They're not even making clicker games. :camby

Apparently the ethics department is there to make sure that game stays within the age rating they're aiming for. So it's more like the ESRB or the Japanese Cero would have complained if Tifa had some jiggly breasts.

Same here OP. I think you are on to something. The easiest answer would be to stop playing or turn off the monitor and get a new one. However, i think this is something important and worth discussion. It's a condition that a lot of people may have and think it's normal and don't think into it too much. Not even sure if there's a diagnosis name for it.

The whole reason Nazis are bad is because the violence they espouse may come to pass.
Nazi's are bad because their ideology is bad. Even Ms.Galaxy realized it was bad after years of supporting widespread genocide.
You don't say! No kidding, you dolt, and the reason the ideology is bad is because it threatens to harm people. If you could see into the future and know for 100% that Nazis would never get any power or hurt anyone, their ideology would be as inert as the guy on the corner with a sign that says "The end is nigh." It would be completely empty. The ideology is bad because of its potential to spread and manifest in the real world as real actions.

Ms.Galaxy would never use a 1st-grade level tautology as some weak attempt at a gotcha.

Um, an ideology of supremacy isn't inert  just beacuse it doesnt directly affec people. It's still a shitty fucking thing.

At least the end is nigh guy is somewhat correct, relatively speaking.

No, it's bad because it denies the humanity and associated rights of people to the point of insisting upon a genocide.

The morality of an ideology can be judged separately from the real world power of groups following the ideology.

Even one critical question and people get banned. It's wild.

Quote
I'm all for trans athletes competing but I'm just curious as to why we never hear about trans males dominating in their respective sports? It's always trans women who seem to excel once they make the transition.

Also, there's no restrictions for trans athletes in Connecticut. So if I'm understanding that correctly trans girls could compete without having to undergo HRT. Which IMO would definitely put bio girls at an disadvantage if that's the case.
