this is the problem with reset's sjw-ism.
Most don't know midget isn't the preferred word. Few know that people who suffer from dwarfism prefer to be called dwarfs.
Instead of correcting politely they just ban even if the person doesn't know any better.
It's a ridiculous take on activism and progress.
AFAIK, its also kind of misleading to use the preferred term 'little people' because
a) that sounds even more like you;re talking about tolkienesque elves and shit than 'dwarf' does
b) midget specifically referred to someone small but with regular (as in equal, not regular as in 'normal') proportions, whereas people with dwarfism have disproprotionate limb growth, so will often have a disproportionately large head in relation to their arms and legs.
there's also a ton of prejudice 'within their community' between the two groups, with 'midgets' looked down upon for being easier to 'pass'
there's a joke in there somewhere that even dwarfs find a way to look down on other people, but I cba to construct it
