Because it helps bolster racism regardless of the intent of the person telling it? This isn't designed to be some lame gotcha, it's an attempt to highlight the harm these things do.
These things are undeniably and inherently tied, it doesn't matter about the teller's intent, jokes like this told to the audience they're written for will have negative effect.They are not necessary jokes, they are either included because the person does not understand/care about the above, or they actively side against the subject they're mocking.They could avoid jokes like this that do this harm, entirely, and still have a great meme and pop-culture full show.
