The US is so fundamentally far-right that the Republicans are nazis and the Democrats are conservatives. I don’t know how people can support the Democrats the way they are.

Right now the Democrats like Pelosi and her supporters here and elsewhere might as well be called nazi collaborators.

now is the perfect time to post the other thread on the other forum to resetera, those guys would lose their mind seeing Pam's side of the story.

If only Pogi wasn't associated with a hate site and caused massive amounts of cross forum drama.

You don't have to be an asshole about it, but you gotta either: 1) Tell her you don't want to end the marriage, get to counselling, and try to repair this, or 2) Move out, rebuild, and grow from this in your future relationships.

But you don't want to stay in the place you're in.

Everyone approaches relationships differently.

I, for instance, have a loving long term relationship with a Twitch girl. We haven't met yet but she laughs everytime I donate 2 dollars and make a fart noise and her bathwater smells like lavender which is my grandmothers favorite flower.

I think the world is a very unpleasant, depressing, and pessimistic place for a lot of our users. Whether they realize it or not, they carry that anxiety with them everywhere and it vents through any avenue it can find. Because this forum is a refuge for a lot of us, it means we carry all that outside stress in to the same place. When we are sad, tired, angry, and afraid, we take it out on one another. I wish we didn't, and we don't always, but when you come together with other people it's easy to bring your grief with you.

This is why I say we must love each other. We are all we have.

Quote from: Finale Fireworker
What I've learned over the last year or so is that people bring the energy of the world in to the forum with them. The last couple of years have been really, really difficult for most of our members. So much has happened and the landscape of the internet has changed so much.

For me, nothing encapsulates that change more than Twitter itself.

I remember how I used Twitter from 2012-2016. My feed was 100% jokes. I used Twitter to decompress and distract myself while I was in college because I knew if I went there I would have a lot to laugh at. It was cathartic, comedic, and comforting. But without changing who I followed at all my timeline changed dramatically by 2016. My Twitter became all politics all the time and nothing but bad news with the occasional defeatist retweet of a joke from years ago. Twitter is no longer a place I go to have fun. It's a news feed of angry, sad, and occasionally funny people. All the same faces, all the same accounts, but a lot has changed.

I think people also discount the fact a lot of us are simply getting older. It's easy to say things were more fun five or ten years ago. But we are five or ten years older too. We remember things better than they used to be and also tire more easily from how things actually are.

In 2019, we are in the midst of new civil rights movement. Nations are contending with fascist despots causing irreversible damage to their countries. Climate change is rapidly reducing longterm sustainability of the planet. People who didn't use to bother with politics now can't afford to turn their head away. But when I think of 2014, I didn't worry about any of this. I remember Flappy Bird and that Ellen DeGeneres selfie at the Oscars and Justin Bieber getting arrested. It's not like that for me now. Things are different.

The world has changed. I have changed. The internet has changed. We are just collectively madder, sadder, and less likely to be in a good mood when we log on to Twitter or Reddit or ResetEra or anywhere else online. People say it a lot, but the best you can do is be the change you wish to see in the community. Have more patience, react more calmly, and try to stay positive even though it's hard to. I think no matter what we have to still love each other. We are all we have.

Mac: who are we versus?  What's our angle?

Stuff like that is just woke branded advertising.  A way to inflame one side and show you are cool with the other.  I think that's all very cool as long as you recognize it as advertising.

That McKenzie Davis is gonna be a hot, robot killer is sweet and a good cause.  Promoting that she's gonna make MRA's shake in their little size 7 payless shoes is just marketing.  Making the movie pro-femme is what is important, not the 45 year old, white, cis-het, capitalizing on a advertising trend.

someone waffling and saying "I want to have sex with men but still TOTALLY NOT GAY" is desperately trying to avoid any social stigma of adopting the identifier

that's what's hurtful and inflammatory toward the lgbt community, not the person attempting to get him to admit to what he just said he is

The world has an unprecedented level of peace and prosperity for modern times. And that’s regardless of whether you look at wars, crime, violence, natural disasters, economy and so forth.

But this is what happens when you beat the drum of how horrible the world and society is on a 24/7 basis. Only an alter personality mad person can look at the state of the world objectively and figure that, but then, all they do on that board is hate, 24/7.

Yet, FinaleFilibuster sees the negatively but says it’s accurate for the world.

I remember back on NeoGAF.com shortly before the CRISIS ON INFINITE FORUMS there was a thread about how more people lived about the $2 a day poverty line than ever (please hold all caveats about this measure) and it was full of posters saying stuff like "yet I have all my student loans" and "if things are so great then why can't I afford to buy a house like my parents?"

Did homeboy ever say where he sleeps?

He's got an ex-wife, her young lover, his wife's 4 kids, all in one house.

Maybe they all fucking cuddle together like a ball of hamsters and pretend it's normal.

CPC exposing the core labor aristocracy. :delicious

Call the fucking exorcist now

The Exorcist is an interesting thing to bring up.  In that movie the Catholic Church doesn't believe the girl is possessed because possession is a dumb thing only in movies and old texts.  Yet they think the girl believes in demon possession so much that holding a tradition exorcism would help her to accept that her "demon," has left her body and she can resume her normal life and quit pretending.

Onilink seems to have gathered bits and pieces of what DID is, or was, as portrayed in 80's sitcoms and movies and now believes he has it.  Given that he fears "Nt*g**r***" I bet he has seen the John Cusack movie Identity.

Like someone said earlier, both options mean crazy.
