Yup, pretty much this. It is so obvious to me that most of you getting up in arms about this article don't actually care about this issue. If you did, you would be angry at Pornhub for hosting this content. You would be angry at Reddit for hosting this content. You would be angry at Google for listing tons of this content in its image searches. You would be angry about Twitter hosting this content. Instead, you are angry that Kotaku brought it to your attention that this content exists all over the mainstream internet and didn't condemn it hard enough...as opposed to the actual sources pushing this content and profiting off of it. Pornhub is not banned here. There are threads made here about Pornhub all the fucking time. Use the search function and look for threads with "Pornhub" in the title, you will find a bunch of them. Where did I say you can't be upset about this subject? You can be upset, there is plenty of reason to be. I was upset with the way this was handled as well. What's more upsetting to me than Kotaku publishing this bad article is the lack of care most people have about this issue until it gives them justification to grind their axes against a site they already don't like, using trauma like mine as a justification.
