User Warned: Inflammatory generalizations

I had no idea how much HRC voters hated Sanders until i started following the politics threads in here more often.

They absolutely hate him, they hate his supporters, his staff, progressive journalists who are nice to him, i mean, everything remotely close to Sanders.

In the end this might be what stops him from winning, i think he´s due for a bounce back, but the hate is still flowing strong. Once the process of Warren x Sanders becomes more clear, we will reach new levels of hate from people who went from Hillary to Warren.

I have no idea how to contain this hate if i was a campaign manager for Sanders.

I remember this one time I was at the barber's, people there were throwing around the f-word so casually, I felt kinda uncomfortable
lol what? the f word makes you uncomfortable? every barber shop ive ever been into is like that. maybe you should go to hair cuttery or a salon?
The reason why I'm bringing up that particular instance is because it'd been a while since I'd actually heard the word uttered out loud in public, it was kind of a "oh, right" moment for me. I haven't been outside too much lately due to being unemployed and haven't interacted with my friends as often as I used to since I moved, that combined with my spending so much time on here just kinda made me forget how things actually are around here, I guess. That's what it feels like to me, anyway.

I think RDR2 was designed around the idea that most people would buy it, play it for 2 hours. Rave about on the internet about 'how great' it is and then never touch it again.

Looking at the sales vs. how many people on the internets ever discuss an interesting scene or moment from the game, I think I'm right.

If you played the first hour of Red Dead 2, that's the story for the entire game, repeated over and over. RDR2 has characters, but it definitely does not have a story, at least not a good or interesting one. There's more story in the side quests and side characters than the actual main story.
Yeah pretty much this is how I look at it but with more of a "good character, most obvious story possible" view. Arthur was great, a lot of the side people you meet are interesting, but what story there is plays out exactly as you expect.

Still, I loved the game and spend like 100 hours on it and don't regret any of it. The side story with the young widow in the northeastern part of the map and the friendship Arthur has with the Civil War vet are my two favorite side stories.

RDR 2 was amazing from top to bottom and graphically, absolutely beautiful to look at. Still remember the ERA complaints about Arthur before the game came out (oh look a white dude!!! Lolz) and then he turns out to be a hell of a character.

I mean this is what stories in this type of settings are.
You don't watch Assassination of Jesse James expecting the twists and turns of a spy movie, it's mostly about character development.
In RDR2 doubly so, because it's a 40 hours open world game, where you're asked to "inhabit" the character to the point of performing small tasks, with the objective of immersing you into the world.

Honestly if someone were to go in expecting a breezy 12 hours action romp with big convoluted plot, they'd be a special kind of moron.

The pace of 2 was even better built than 1, in my opinion, which got kind of tragic in the halfway point.

The only real problem i have with it, is a bit of repetitiveness with the Dutch back and forth (memed to hell, but it's not even that bad, in the context of an open world game) and the shooting controls, which are R* standard, that is to say: Dog shit.

I did go back and play RDR1 again since it was cleaned up a bit in X1 BC and I had forgotten Dutch tries to beg off by saying he has a plan before Marsten shoots him :lol

And I'm not upset about the story in 2 being essentially what I expected to have happen. Just something I noticed. When I was playing the game I felt fully immersed and what was going on felt important but then I look back after I was done and it was kinda funny to me.

I also like RDR2 more than 1, if only because it felt less stupid. I felt for the first time in a Rockstar game thier writing actually had a decent tone the whole way through. I don't know if it's a good game or has a good story though. People's complaints about the controls and sluggishness did'nt match my own. I mean the game has a very set feeling that I was fine with and it's deliberate immersion in the end did'nt bother me. I did think the game had plenty of sub systems that I did'nt have to mess with and thus felt pointless. The mission design was so controlled that some missions I would fail because I did'nt do 100% what the game wanted me too, only for another mission to randomly not penalize me for the same tactic. So that felt sloopy. In the end though it avoided the copy and paste feeling of most open world games. I was able to just focus on the main story and not feel like I had to do supposed side activities to progress the game. So in the end I really enjoyed it. The game looks amazing and the world is so realized that I can't help but like it as an experince.

As for the story...eh I don't know. It was a slow burn I guess. The characters are well done yeah. But it did feel like a story without a lot of momentum. I feel like it wanted to have this episodic structure where at the different camps there would be a main story and the overarching plot slowly building in the background. But I don't think it did that well. A lot of it is going where you can guess its going from playing the first hour. So for a lot of it I was left just waiting for what I knew would happen. It just did'nt feel eventful. Still the actual writing and character stuff is good, better then the other Rockstar games. I just think games are bad at figuring out how to tell stories stretched out over 40 hours.

The real crime in RDR2 is that there is no PC release. The assets are too high quality to be shackled by proprietary weakness.

In the pivotal South Carolina primary (which had just been moved to a privileged position early in the year to give African-Americans a stronger influence in the nominating process), Sharpton finished a poor third (17 percent) among black voters, trailing John Edwards (37 percent) and John Kerry (34 percent). In the end Kerry — hardly the model of a Democrat likely to become the favorite of this demographic — won 56 percent of the total African-American vote in the primaries

I don't know.

Add it to the list nachobro, I’m so tired...

Rip Torn also got so drunk at 79 years of age he broke into a bank because he thought it was his house.   Artie can do no wrong.

Oh man wait till resetera finds out about this they are definitely gonna cancel him.  At least they can’t drive Rip to suicide.

RIP Etika

User banned (2 weeks): sexist and disingenuous trolling over a series of posts in the thread

I agree OP, garbage design. They could have made her ass bigger but they held back. A shame.

User Banned (Permanent): Advocating for the death of children

Let go of kids and babies, sounds like Hitlerjugend, so fuck that. They will always feel the need to avenge their parents, so there is not really hope of them being normal. Sadly your parents just made a choices for you, which does not do you any favors. Many innocent kids/babies was killed because of your parents idiocy. And now I should feel sorry for you? Just because you were European, no. So now is your turn. Zero tolerance, kill them all, wipe this shit of the planet earth. And possibly religion with it*, I don't like fairy tales which does kill people. And yes, life is unfair, deal with it.

*I don't care if "they are really not the Muslims" who the fuck cares, they acted by their version of fairy tale, probably written by a 600 A.D. rapist and masochist, so what. Why religion always get the special treatment, as it´s something which excuses your behavior. An no this is not targeted to Muslims specifically, but people of all religions. You gonna die some day and that's going to be nothing and you would not even care, deal with it.

Does this inevitable death go on the resetera ledger or no?

Sounds like a anime villain lmao

Fixed.

Surprise the dude wasn't banned already. Guy was a defender of Kingdom Come and therefere a Nazi.

But to be honest his banning is pretty bs. Had, this been a thread about Repbublican/Trump Supporter kids I'm pretty sure ree would just stop short of this. They already want those people to do be the living dead anyway.

Should have only advocated for killing white babies, then he could have been a mod.
