Why the fuck am I still concerning myself with how badly ERA is run?
because it positions itself as loudly as possible as the most left leaning liberal friendly gaming space on the internet, and yet regularly allows itself to become a laughingstock
and as a person with mostly liberal values, it makes you wonder, are
these particular people especially insane and terrible?
or is this somehow an inevitability when you collect this many progressives in one space? is this the natural conclusion?
because you can see the same attitudes mirrored in twitter or other places like lefttube or the democratic socialist convention
and you know in spite of era being insane if you click through to the threads you still see plenty of normal people with reasonable opinions trying to bring things back to a sensible place, so it's probably not all of era or even all of the moderation
but you still watch those people get drowned out into oblivion and usually warned or banned and you say jesus christ
