I've enjoyed my time with The Division. Pretty game. Still looks amazing today.

I didn't touch any of the online play or 'endgame' though. (I already have a treadmill I return to regularly. :shh )

Are there any other games with an atmosphere similar to the Gunk? Or maybe Journey to the Savage Planet?  The Gunk was surprisingly good.

Xcloud performance has been surprisingly good.  Been using that to knock out quests and check out some other games.  Online multiplayer has been pretty decent, too.

Same, finally.
Insane value for Gamepass, similar to the Yakuza titles, though i'll get it on steam obviously.
I figure Hitman is one of those titles you might as well own, given the replay value and ongoing support, but GP can be a good way to try them out.

Is PCVR support also on the same day? I may set the Oculus back up if it is.

Damn, all 3 Hitman titles with free hand control, seem like a huge deal for VR, RE4 level of "big".

Just finished Gorogoa. Pretty slick game, really one of a kind. Genuinely beautiful with some striking and thought provoking imagery. Didn't resort to a guide despite being kinds stuck at times, but the puzzles are never too tough.

Will rinse the cheevos with the help of a YouTube clip for minimal mistakes. I'd like to see the animated sequences again to digest more of the story too. Since the game has no language of any kind it's quite abstract as a given

Pupperazi is pretty bad :( not even sure if the promise of easy achievements is enough. Might be worth having around for the rewards points quests that require a quick cheevo idk. I'll try some of the other maps and see if the dogs get more interesting or something

Played some Two Point Hospital last night. Feel like I'd seen most of the game after an hour or so though. Will probably try Evil Genius 2 tonight, but guessing it will be the same experience.

I had the same experience. Theme Hospital was the same back in the day.

You just have to really be into systems optimization to find managment sims entertaining. I think survival games scratch a smiliar itch, but they do it in a fuzzier and more exciting way.

It's a love letter to Symphony of the Night, but smaller/shorter. Has a neat ramp-up system where you store energy with each hit, improving your attacks. If you get hit yourself, the stored energy is drained to heal you instead. You have two stocks that you can switch between at any time (which also changes which spells you can cast), which makes it pretty forgiving. So long as you don't take too many hits in a row you can recover without having to limp back to a save point or drink one of your three potions.

The only annoying mechanic are the arrow 'puzzles', where you have to bounce them off the walls to hit switches.
Oh, and the afterimages of the protag's sprite were way too distracting for my liking, but they let you turn those off, thankfully.

Story-wise it's not important to know any of the prior material, as it doesn't continue or elaborate on anything, all you see is just a series of cameos. Knowing who all the people are and how they relate to each other isn't going to make you appreciate this 'plot' any more thank you would otherwise.

I should finally try to finish American McGee's Alice DLC. I enjoyed the sequel just fine on 360, though it was a bit copy-paste in level design as it slogged onward toward its end.

Semi recommending Nobody Saves the World if anyone enjoys those empty XP quests in games for playing in peculiar ways. e.g., "backstab 10 heavy enemies with a blunt weapon." Couple hours of bars filling and numbers going up. Fun to zone out to.

Agreed. With most 2D throwbacks aiming for NES+ or SNES+, spritework akin to the PS1/Saturn era is pretty charming.

Same team made Touhou Luna Nights. Another short fun Castlevania game about some anime thing.

Yeah, it looks pretty nice. I played in quality 30fps mode the whole time. Plays smoother and better in 60fps during combat, but looks great in quality mode for all the rest.

Yeah, both good gets. Tunic looks & sounds great, but I've got no time for it anytime soon.

I actually unsubbed after all the months I pre-paid at $5 ran out in January. Love game pass but sometimes I go months without playing anything on it. Will sub again later in the year when between stuff and catch up on some indies.

I've had a bad habit of playing Game Pass games when they're about to leave and not beating them in time, so I'm trying to stop that. I've played the shit out of Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Master since day one (almost 40 hours), I jump back into Nobody Saves the World every now and then, and I got about 5 hours into Scarlet Nexus so far this week.

When I hear the Nintendie reviewers say: "Just look at that crisp 720p presentation" as F-Zero X stutters along I really wouldn't mind Nintendo going multi-platform at this point.

Scarlet Nexus is a good game with too much dialogue in between missions. It's not bad imo, but you've heard it all before if you watch anime regularly.

I'll do a second playthrough on New Game+ with the boy before it leaves GamePass since there are achievements that require you to complete the game with both, but if Namco makes a sequel, I hope they stick to one story and playthrough that lets you swap between both characters.
