After Tiananmen the authorities would go to the houses of kids they suspected of being involved, the parents would reluctantly hand over the kids, then the police would come back to the parents hours later and say that they'd "committed suicide in custody" or "fell down stairs and died".

Take this with a grain of salt, but...

There was one particular guy who caught my attention earlier in all this drama who was one of the few people to take the position that invading people's personal spaces is a shitty move and that KetKat deserved a ban for that. He argued this across 13 posts today. Some examples:

Without knowing Ketkat's full version of the story I don't know why people are claiming her ban was unfair. If the allegations are true, and I repeat, if they are true, they are reason enough to ban anyone.

From what we know, this private(s) Discord channel(s) were ones where personal information was shared between users of the site. I genuinely do not understand how, if this is true, is not considered an invasion of privacy. I cannot stretch enough how this would ban you out of literally any site.

Knowledge of this information is an issue here, though, we don't know if there are mods in that channel that did not know or share the views that were presented there, because none of us have the entire context. As someone who abandoned other servers in this site because of fear of doxxing and private information coming out, I find it upsetting how her alleged actions are being judged here.

Mods are also part of the community and their privacy should also be respected, especially if they had no saying in what the acephobic mods said. I genuinely do not know how we can create a comfortable community for anyone involved if these notions are not upheld.
