off the top of my head, I imagine a VR experience in which a player fills the role Of a volunteer firefighter staving off wildfires in the Amazon rain forest.

The experience would be designed to feel mentally and physically taxing, the “player” would be meant to feel like they are outnumbered and outgunned (reflected in gameplay mechanics). The social commentary here? Well I’m still working that out.

Seems pretty unlikely that's the case. Much more likely that Valve went out of their way to buy Campo Santo for the express purpose of canning their game, burning all the assets, and forcing them to make Dota hats against their will instead.

Actually, I think you can go into the user panel some way and see who has liked your posts and stuff. Or it's a simple query, so you could already have a ledger for users to see where their forum social credit score is coming from and blacklist accordingly.

Firewatch was shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

I stopped playing after that scene with the skinny dippers. I think I had the graphics on low or something because as soon as the audio ended the black silhouette graphic model just instantly blipped out of existence, like in lazy RPG's where an NPC or piece of environment pops in or out of existence when you interact. I expect that sorta stuff from a stat-based game like Skyrim but not a story/immersion game like this where it goes through the trouble of showing your character's hands and other fidelities like that.

Just for those who might not know:

ioi, the founder of VGChartz no longer does anything with the numbers.

Hardware numbers are marked as estimates and get readjusted once official numbers get released.
Software numbers have already stopped at the end of 2018 because they are too unreliable and VGC now switched to only report on official and sourced shipped numbers.

Firewatch was good. Probably the only time I share at least some slight irritation alongside ERA that Campo’s next game is on hold for now. Not SEETHING RAGE!!! like ERA automatically jumps to but definitely annoyed by the news.
