The St. Louis ban was 2011, though St. Louis grandfathered in places like casinos and small bars that sell mostly alcohol and little food. Back in college you could smoke anywhere. Now when I'm around people that still smoke you feel like a pariah. I don't know anybody that smokes inside of their homes anymore. Progress has happened rapidly on this front.

When I started university in 2003 you were able to smoke inside, on the hallways. The only place where it was prohibited was the lecture hall. Absolutely crazy that they outlawed this only 10ish years ago here.

We know that the PS5 is rumored to have around 2.0 ghz clock speeds. Sony chief executive officer Kenichiro Yoshida said he wanted someone to focus on growing PlayStation as an overarching platform before hiring Jim. Jim Ryan likes cars and often references GT franchise. It wasn’t a coincidence that Jim was the man chosen to usher in the PS5 and I’m sure as leading man in Europe he had lots of input on PlayStation 5. It was rumored that PS5 might be called PlayStation V rather than PS5 but made sure there was no ambiguity when he showed to logo at CES. Now Jim comes out speaking of unique features over and above the haptics RT, and the fastest storage in any consumer device ever etc. Curious that he would do that isn’t it? It isn’t normal for Jim to talk about special features during his tenure at a PlayStation but it makes sense now. Jim obviously cares for gamers abroad but part of his heart cares deeply about the European market. Europeans are more likely to ride trains than their American counterparts. This will have affected Jim’s view of PlayStation to some degree. When you put it all together him probably did the right thing going this direction.
