The problem with other companies concepts is that they're not productionaly feasible.

they also look like any industrial design programmes end of year student concepts.

the truck, while possibly massively flawed, is a genuinely surprising concept.

you guys know the wedge shape has been used since the late 70's and all through the 80's? Look up any exotic Italian or British car from that era. It's an Aston Martin Lagonda with a suspension kit. Also funny how people twist themselves into pretzels to justify fanboying over this. I've heard the "it's industrial design" as a pro-cybertruck argument, from a car designer.  :lol

It's fine to like it, but don't sit here coming up with some pretentipus b.s. You're just gay for Musk.

I applaud Musk for taking such a bold move. The Tesla was bold but it was already being copied by other auto makers.
This looks entirely different from what you'd expect a truck or even Tesla product to look like. It reminds me of the Wii in that sense.
Weird name, weird look, but because it was vastly different it appeals to a much larger audience when all is said and done.

I seriously can't believe he just took the logo, thin-brushed it and then struck out "Punk" to put in "Truck" instead. :dead

I had the WTF reaction at first, but now it is growing on me a bit.
I'd never consider a normal truck but a not-truck truck... Maybe.

(Image removed from quote.)

That is a 2D sprite though. And looks more rounded than the actual truck.

It really does look like early 3D modelling. That is the first thing I thought. Something like Hard Drivin would be more fitting.

Cyber truck is an interesting design, but I don’t think it will ever be built exactly like the concept for the cost they are quoting. I don’t know that it’s possible at all, but i definitely don’t think Tesla can do it.

The material they are using is too hard to be stamped. Well, all modern mass market car bodies are stamped. So I guess that means they have to forge the metal... ever compare the price of a forged knife to a stamped knife? It’s an order of magnitude difference. Doing this for a whole car? Seems unlikely.

An electric truck would suck fucking ass for towing or hauling, because any decent sized load would tank the fucking range.

This is true of a gas truck too, but a gas truck takes 10 minutes to fully refuel, not 2 hours.

Be real, no one is using that thing to tow stuff. They are using it to park in Nobu or drive on weekends around town to get attention.

It's like killing a sports car because of it's lack of trunk space.

I don't think most people realize how gargantuan this thing is either. The valets at Nobu are going to have a hell of a time parking that thing. It's larger than a Suburban.

yeah why is american infrastructure lacking?
surely it isn't the case that historically businesses interests lead to crippling of robust transport infrastructure, that'd be utterly preposterous
roads are an enigma, no clue how they were ever made in the first place or how it was funded
