Cyber truck is an interesting design, but I don’t think it will ever be built exactly like the concept for the cost they are quoting. I don’t know that it’s possible at all, but i definitely don’t think Tesla can do it.
The material they are using is too hard to be stamped. Well, all modern mass market car bodies are stamped. So I guess that means they have to forge the metal... ever compare the price of a forged knife to a stamped knife? It’s an order of magnitude difference. Doing this for a whole car? Seems unlikely.
An electric truck would suck fucking ass for towing or hauling, because any decent sized load would tank the fucking range.
This is true of a gas truck too, but a gas truck takes 10 minutes to fully refuel, not 2 hours.
